I know a way out of Hell. Find a child, a child whose mother and father have been killed and raise him as your own.

Only be sure that he is a Muslim and that you raise him as one. - Ghandi

This part from Rat Race, one of my favorite films of all time, is priceless, ahaha ;D -

"Klaus Barbie, sometimes known as the butcher of Lyon.  Let the Jew revisionists talk about their death camps and so-called crimes against humanity.  This museum is lovingly dedicated to the Klaus Barbie that nobody knows.  The husband, the devoted father, the wine connoisseur, and 3-time, ballroom dancing champion."

If it was possible to die from laughter, I would have passed away after hearing this part for the first time.  I literally hurt from laughing so hard ;D.

About as hard as I've ever laughed in a theater.

I went and saw that on my birthday with my wife.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day but we'd been stuck in the house for 24 hours plus watching 9/11 unfold.  It was a perfect little escape movie for a couple of hours.  Lovitz at his finest.

Absolutely, and the bits toward the end with the 4:30 book burning and the gift shop are outstanding, as well.  Are you insane!?  This is Hitler's car!  Ahaha ;D.

While I've never seen either of these films, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the, "Mrs. Robinson, are you trying to seduce me?" line from the graduate, or Lauren Bacall's, "Just put your lips together, and blow."  I was just trying to think of some iconic scenes.

Comedically

The movie the Jerk with Steve Martin was genius. Multiple things. Sticking out to me is when he yells at the racist rich guys "Gentlemen! You are talking to an N word!"

Also ....the Russians are Coming where Alan Arkin is trying so hard to teach these Russian sailors to say "Emergency. Everybody to get from street"

Just darn good writing.

Other funny little things....some movies like Lawrence of Arabia where he tells the Arab "You will come to Ackaba because it is your pleasure" and the Arab replies "My mother gave birth to a scorpion"

and also when they are arguing and Lawrence says he will cross the desert like Moses and the Arab yells back "Moses was a prophet beloved by God!"

The end of Glory when Matthew Broderick asks "If this man should fall who will pick up the colors and carry on" and Thomas volunteers..and Brodrick tells him "I will see you in the fort Thomas"...tends to make me cry. They just all know they're gonna die and it just teaches me so vividly that so many poor guys gave everything for us. I can't really come up with any arguments that Glory isn't the best war film ever. If I had to have my kid watch just one that's probably the one.

12 Years a slave when she screams she needs soap because she stinks so bad.

Rocky at the ring before the fight when he tells the promoter he's wearing white shorts with red stripes not red with white stripes

Promoter: "it doesn't really matter does it.  I'm sure you'll give us a good fight"

favorite line from that movie
