Was Horry a good rebounder/shot blocker?

Are you posting this with Myles Turner in mind?

I'd say Josh Smith, but I suppose you want a guy who can shoot the three well.

Lebron James
KG never quite got all the way out to the 3 pt line but the idea of being a big who rebounded, blocked shots, and stretched the floor.
Right now Serge Ibaka is actually pretty good

So my list would be
James
Ibaka
Bosh? Milsapp?

I guess you could say the only realistic shot blocking big men that can rebound and shoot the three is Serge Ibaka or Draymond Green.

After that its probably Bosh or Millsap, but their both limited at rebounding, and not above average on defense. The 3 point shot is becoming a lot more important especially in big men, being able to space the floor is extremely vital to any offense.

Guys who could shoot and could rebound and/or block shots:

Ibaka
Raef
Okur
Rasheed
Odom
Marion
Dirk
Millsap
Draymond Green
Bosh

Good list Roy.

Good list. Ibaka really?? I thought he was not very good at it

Dirk was never a good shot blocker.  Decent Rebounder.

What about Durant?

Barkley?

Ibaka hit 1.3 3PTs per game, and shot 38% last year.

Dirk actually averaged 1.5 blocks in 2005, but yeah, he definitely wasn't a rim protector.

My first thought was that the OP was thinking of Porzingis.

How about our very own Kelly Olynyk?
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

rare to find a player that can do all these things well.

It is what makes a guy like Ibaka so special - there are really almost no other players like him in the league. You can put him with literally any other type of big man and it would make sense.

Which is why it's hilarious that people think OKC don't value Ibaka and would just easily trade him away. He's the perfect third-option guy on offense who also manages to anchor their defense.

I can't think of any attainable big man who would improve OKC over what Ibaka does for them.

I can name a young NBA prospect who could do all of those things in college - Noah Vonleh.

Big reason why I was so intrigued by him in the last draft, he's pretty raw but may have the most versatile skill set I've seen in years.

* Good anticipation on defense (1.3 Steals Per 40 Minutes)
* Good shot blocker (2.1 Blocks Per 40 Minutes)
* Elite rebounder (13.6 Rebounds Per 40 Minutes)
* Shot > 50% from the field (10.9 FGA Per 40 Minutes)
* Shot > 50% from three (1.7 3PA Per 40 Minutes)
* Shot > 70% from the line (6.8 FTA Per 40 Minutes)
* Excellent ball handler for a big man

Per 100 possessions he had a Off Rating of 113 and a Def Rating of 91.7, giving him a whopping Net Rating of +21.3 which is insane.

Main weaknesses?

* Assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.28 (which indicates bad hands, decision making and court vision)
* Averaged 4.1 Personal Fouls Per 40 Minutes

Then again he's also only 19 years old, and already has a borderline elite NBA PF body (6' 9.5" height, 7' 4" wingspan. 9' standing reach, 37" max vertical, 247 lbs @ 7% body fat).

This kid has ridiculous potential, and with his combination of length, strength, rebounding, shot blocking, ball handling and shooting range he could easily play either PF or C spots - could probably even stretch some time at SF if he could improve his lateral quickness a little.
