Ford has WCS at 11 (!) and Stanley Johnson falling all of the way to 15th? I really don't see that happening, but I'd fully expect us to trade up to get one of those two if so.

Wow, I really liked what I saw from Stanley Johnson.  I'm shocked Ford has him so low.  I'd love to see the Celtics get him.

Ford's just leaving himself room for amendendments to be madea to his mocks down the road!

And that will be the last cheap short I throw at Chad Ford this draft.

probably just me but I think I'd be disappointed if either of the mocks were right.  not a fan of RJH at 16 (28, sure) or Upshaw in the first round.

If Turner falls past 11, Ainge NEEDS to find a way to move up to get him. Too much potential.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

I'd be surprised if either Turner or Johnson fell as predicted in these mocks and Danny didn't move to get one of them

Wow, talk about a total crap of a draft.  Forget our horrible selections - if the Bulls get Delon Wright and the Lakers get Tyler Harvey I'm going to be really ticked off.  Unfortunately, and as I've said before, I can see this exact scenario playing out on draft night.  Sigh.

Btw, it's great to have guys who play defense and all, but the last thing we need is another defensive specialist.  What we simply must have is someone, anyone, who can score.

I'd be very happy with the RHJ pick at 16.  He's highly skilled and as someone mentioned is an underrated scorer in close.  Getting him will allow for an eventual trade of Evan Turner, who I do like but not quite enough I guess.

I'd also like to use Bradley and sweetener to get Utah's #12 pick and take Dekker or Stanley Johnson.  And I'd like to move up from pick 28 with something to take Cameron Payne, another high skill guy with offense of his own plus passing.  Payne will back up IT next year and then as he improves and fills out and learns the NBA he can start and also play some backup 2 guard.

With pick 33 take De Paula to stash.  Pick 45 Hernangomez or Mulitinov.

Sign Marc Gasol, who will finally be ready to move on after the Grizzlies can't get past the Warriors, and will want like his brother to play for a team with tradition.  :)

Next Year:

IT, Payne
Smart, RHJ, Payne, Young
Dekker, Crowder, RHJ
Sully, KO, Crowder, Jerebko
Gasol, Zeller, KO

Gasol's defense allows this starting unit to to lack some D at starting PG and SF.

In what universe does Olivier Hanlan go 59th?  Wow.  What about Josh Richardson?

It's probably bad timing saying this (since Johnson and RHJ are apparently going back to back in this mock), but from what I saw, RHJ looked to have the makings of a very good NBA player, while Johnson was a bit overrated to me. In reality, Johnson is in the 8-10 range and RHJ is in the 16-22 range, but if faced with the decision at 16, I am not sure who I would pick.

Hopfully Harrell keeps falling, too - would love to pick him up at 28.

It's hard being a score-first point guard from a less-than-heralded program.  Really have to put up epic numbers to get drafted high.

I really don't want RHJ. How much of an upgrade is he over Crowder? I'm curious if anyone has followed him a lot this year.

Yeah, it's important to have wing stoppers, but I just don't think you use a mid-1st round pick on a poor man's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

So then why is Cameron Payne a late lottery/first round talent coming from Murray State and Hanlan isn't?
