Points in the pick and roll? What about possessions running the pick and roll?

Hint: it wasn't the Clippers, or the Hawks, or the Blazers.

It was the Boston Celtics. We were 1st in pick and roll possessions and 7th in the NBA in pick and roll points per possession. (Zeller averaged 4th most points per possession in the pick and roll of any player in the league)

We were also 8th in the league in spot up possessions, but 23rd in points per possession in spot up situations.

This is just another way of saying what we may already know. We have a dynamic offensive system set up. It is unselfish and ball movement oriented, but although we get good looks in the pick and roll, our outside shooters cannot keep help defenders honest.

With another shooter and improved development in shooting across our roster, we could be a top 5 offensive team in the league next year.

That's the thing with this team is it seems like fans can be like the celtics are desparately trying to get players to come here.  We have a good team.  We are in the drivers seat.  We have multiple picks too.  We have talent.  Coaching and being smart does wonders and not just wasting talent.

We are developing players.  We have a good system and just playing good basketball will do that.

Besides we don't want to play like some of these other teams and ball hogs.  WE are going to get star players ultimately but they have to fit into what we are doing too and want to be a part of that.

We want smart players and players who can play outside of that and create themselves but we want smart players.
