One observation I would like to make, the only prospect who is clearly ranked by the draft "experts" in the #16 range who has worked out to date for the Cs is Portis. RHJ and Anderson could both work up to that point but consensus seems to be that they would be a reach at #16. Dekker was rumored to be joining the Anderson/RHJ workout but Anderson was quoted saying he backed out. He would have been the second guy in the 16 range.

This leads me to speculate that the Cs really are actively aggressively trying to move up and agents are not interested in wasting time sending clients to Boston who hope to go in the 16 range. Obviously agents who view their clients as lottery picks are unlikely to let them go to Boston.

At this point I was expecting to see workouts that included. Portis, Lyles, Looney, Dekker, Hunter, Booker, Oubre and Grant. The small conspiracy theory part of my brain thinks that this may be a sign of things to come.

Time will tell

This makes sense. It also makes sense what the team was saying about lottery players and fringe lottery players not willing to start workouts before they get in a little better shape--which completely jibes with Dekker missing our workout. Has anyone who is slated to go lottery or in range of our 16 pick worked out for other teams? I haven't heard of any, though my ears are tuned for Celtics news. Rather, the guys we've seen work out for us are trying to move up in our range of the draft or get drafted at all.

If the players we're suspecting to go in our range were working out for other teams, that'd give a lot of credence to your thoughts here. Still a great post.

Just did a really quick check of the Lakers, Kings and Pacers recent workouts and the only player of note there is Oubre working out for the Pacers while a lot of the guys we've had through have been visiting those other teams as well.

Robb, you make a good point taking a quick look at other 1st round guys and who they have worked out for

Booker: OKC and Suns

Looney: Suns

Oubre: Pacers

Dekker: Heat

Hunter: OKC, Jazz

Grant: Wizards,

D Johnson: Lakers, Grizz

Harrel: 76ers,

Mavs

Booker: OKC #14 and Suns #13 (12 on DX)

Dekker: Heat #10 (16)

Hunter: OKC #14, Jazz #12 (24)

Grant: Wizards #19 (19)

D Johnson: Lakers #2, #27, Grizz #25 (40)

Harrel: 76ers #3, #35, #37 (23)

That's good. I added their DraftExpress mock positions in parenthesis. So there are some that are working out around our range but we haven't worked out yet. If they don't for a while, then it'll definitely help your idea. Kudos for the research. Hope you didn't think I was challenging your thought :) I'm glad for the info. TP for you.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Kaba is an interesting prospect for our 45th pick.

Alpha Kaba | PF/C | France | 6’10 | 225
With a 7-foot-5 wingspan, Kaba has the length to alter shots on defense, though the 18-year-old is seen as raw after only playing 31 minutes in France’s ProA league this season.

nice list. Caddy Lalanne is a guy we can consider at 45.  Has a 7'5 wingspan, big , athletic, decent mobility.  Can shoot a little also

Nance Jr.   decent size for a pf. 6'9 , 7'1.5 wingspan.  Excellent 37.5 max vertical leap.  Reminds me of Jason Smith

That windup on his shot looks like a dang trebuchet.

Nance is garbage. He reminds me of Dwight Powell. Not skilled at all.

Yeah, dad was really good and underrated. Son has no skills at all. He tries hard, but there is nothing there. Name recognition is the only thing that might give him a shot.
