The article it cites as its source makes things seem a lot different.

Basically says Zeller was a good surprise player and Sully and KO might interest other teams, the CBS took some liberties with its report IMO

Thanks--that explains a lot.

A lot of this depends on whether CBS is a system guy or adapts to his players.

It is safe to say that Sully is not a stretch four, he shot .28% again from downtown and that is a bad shot for him.  Despite take a ton of them, he did not show real improvement in this area.  He should stick to what he does best bang inside and rebound.  He is poorly suited for what we ran this last year.   I would cringe anytime he shot a three.  He shot .44% for the year.  I wish he would get in shape and do what he does well and quit trying to be what he is not.

Kelly is better suited to the offense, but he is not a good rebounder like Sully.  He has shown some ability to spread the floor.  Hitting around .35% of his down town shots.  He also shot .48% from the field.

KO was nearly as good a rebounder as Sully in college and decent last year. But he's played out defending to the perimeter and Sully can only defend up close. So Sully's right there for positioning on the boards and KO's not.

I would argue, he can't even do that.  He is the worst defensive big we have.  KO tries harder on D.

This is not college.  This is the NBA, everyone here is big and strong and usually fast.   We have different definitions of what is close.   Sully averaged 7.4 and KO 5 and there was only 2 minutes difference in games minutes played.  2.5 RPG a game is a huge amount of difference.

I hate to bust your bubble but Sully played a lot on the perimeter.   He shot 3.2 threes a game or 129 for the year.  KO shot 175 for 2.7 per game.  This is not opinion these are actual shot totals.  Memory can be a funny thing.

I don't think anyone save yourself thinks KO is a better rebounder than Sully.   Most here, know I am not a fan of Sully either.   I have been his harshest critic.

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that Sullinger and Olynyk are the players most likely to be in a deal.  But the way this article is worded, they make it seem like teams would be calling Ainge, and not the other way around...which I find hard to believe.  I've always been under the impression that Danny would need to do the calling and convincing that these guys are worthy of being a centerpiece in a deal.  Unless maybe now they'll be packaged together?

I don't understand why other teams wouldn't be interested in Sully or KO.

Sully has proven he is a legit NBA talent at PF.  He is a consistent double-double threat.  I have said many times that he was probably the best player on this team pre-IT4.  I certainly think he is the most talented overall player on the Celtics roster right now.

KO is a 7-footer who has a great offensive skill set.  His major detraction right now is his horrid defense and his lack of awareness or aggressiveness on the defensive boards.  He needs to become more active and skilled in the paint, and better defensively, to reach his potential.  But there is no denying that in a league where height and size are at a premium and player of KO's caliber will always have value to someone.

KO is still pretty raw to my eye. Still looks like he's trying to fit in and work within an offense that, ironically, allows each player to be a bit opportunistic offensively. It's mental as much as anything. We won't know if he can be a serious scorer unless he decides he's going to try it. He doesn't seem interested in standing out.  He'd rather pass than create his own shot, e.g. the turnaround fade away, hook shot, running hook, etc.

Danny will not trade anyone unless his value is at the time higher than real or for a big fish... i do not think we get a big fish now... zeller and bradley could be gone... not sully and kelly
