I think the team that could win it all is Houston, I don't think it matters who the east will send but the Clippers are hot too.

I think Houston's been feasting on a porous Dallas team, not sure if they'll be able to keep playing this well against stiffer competition.

Though Dwight Howard finally embracing being a P&R center full time has been fun to watch.

So he's going to need surgery probably.

Massive blow to the Cavs.

I thought the Cavs had this title in the bag too, personally.

Tough break.  They still will be good though and I still think they'll get to the Finals.   Not saying it'll be easy and the Western opponent will be really tough.

Sure seems that way.

One loses a single game check and is embarassed.

Another has a potentially career altering injury on the eve of free agency.

Its pretty easy to see who lost more.

is career altering a bit of an overstatement at this point? I have not read anything along those lines. I believe Howard suffered this same injury a few years ago and seems to have fully recovered from it (and that is a guy that takes 10x the physical contact that Love does in a game).

Sounds like he's missing the rest of the playoffs.  I don't like the circumstances of this, but do you figure this makes him more likely to seek a multi-year deal this Summer?

He should still get max offers from Boston, New York, Lakers, and others.  Perhaps he extends in Cleveland, but it would probably be unwise for him to opt in for a 1 year deal with such uncertainty about his health next season and how that could impact his free agency in 2016.

I personally would think he may be one of the few players it would make sense for to sign a multiyear this offseason despite the cap situation. Although that may even be in Cleveland. It just seems like a huge risk to me to go into a contract year with a serious injury.

Too bad for Kevin Love to have his first playoff run end this way, The Cavs may go to the Lebron at the 4 and play a more helter skelter pace really upping the tempo more.
