Kobe would have been a happy Celtic?

Okay, I just happened upon this clip on youtube and I was thinking, "wait, what?"  Since I'm not particularly well versed in this period of Celtics history, you guys are going to have to help me out here.  I've seen various comments from people on this site about his agent steering him to Charlotte or whatever, so I assumed that he never worked out for Boston.  I'm not sure that Kobe would have been a great Celtic, tbh, unless of course DJ and/or Larry took him under his wing and somehow made him into a team player.  This is one of those moments, lol. Was it known at the time how much Jerry West liked him, because if Jerry West likes a player they're usually pretty good, haha. We should have just taken him to spite the Lakers, ahaha.
