Was it worth it? Did the crew gain "valuable playoff experience!" Newsflash, nobody on this team will be here when we are back to a championship level so it won't matter. We could be crossing our fingers for a top 3 pick right now to help speed up the rebuild but nope. Sorry. Try again next time. At least we have the Brooklyn pick next year to rely on. Ainge is so bad at tanking maybe someone else can do it for him.

(Sorry in advance, this thread was just too easy NOT to make)

My goodness, can we retire this Tanker vs Anti-Tanker thing?  We're all Celtics fans.

More than happy with this season.  But then again, I'm a fan a of actual basketball and not just the GM mode on NBA2K15.

Some guys had a slight uptick in trade value.  Some guys lost a little trade value.  Ultimately the extra week of losing basketball will not make much long-term difference.  I stand by my belief the most valuable part of making the playoffs was keeping brad Stevens engaged (there's a real threat of him returning back to college) and keeping the players committed to him.  The culture is in place. This team will do everything they can to win.  Now if Ainge can land a star, we will be in good position.

Not going to be surprised to see us lotto-bound next season without major additions. This is a fringe team that overachieved and will no longer be able to sneak up on opponents.

16th pick vs 9th best lotto odds isn't too big of a deal.   Better shot of adding a contributor at 9, but Ainge could still get lucky at 16.  Going to come down to his talent evaluation.  We will probably try to trade the picks anyways.  9th would have been more valuable but we are still getting outbid most likely either way.

A fan of being antagonistic with fellow Celtics fans, too.

dont bait people please. it makes you look bad and adds nothing constructive to the board.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This thread should get exactly what happened to JR Smith today.  It's stuff like this that brings this site down to new lows.

We are Celtics fans.  Brad Stevens coaches to win.  Danny makes trades to develop this team into a winner.  And 1997 proved to REAL Celtics fans that tanking guarantees nothing...

This thread is a joke...

Sure did. Great series. Loved every minute of it. This entire season was awesome. Last year was hell for me.

I get the Stevens part. I love him as a coach and would be perfect if we actually reloaded or landed anyone good. Problem is we have a young roster without much talent. How do you get talent? Tank :/

Maybe we can trade for Cousins and lure Love to come here after next year. I dont know. It's just the future seems murky now that we have mediocre picks this year as opposed to a lottery one.
