Hold your horses this one ain't over yet ;D

Being down this much to a great Cavs team is like being down 39 to anyone else. It was over with the tip off in game 1.

LOL.

But you compete. And BOS, for most part this series - has competed.

You don't create a culture like Sixers and expect to be a FA draw.

?  You mean embarassing for the Cavs, who struggled to beat us in every game and had to play their Big 3 huge minutes to do it?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Culture is a joke. You don't lure free agents in 20s with culture. You lure them with weather and endorsements. Money will be there no matter what. Philly and Boston have nothing for free agents.

What's embarrassing is that some can't see the forest through the trees.

This team was destined to fold after Rondo and Green we're traded. So what did the young Celtics do? They had the audacity to play hard, make the playoffs, give us some fun through the season. Sorry they interrupted your "Fantasy Jersey" purchases.

You have a young team that battles every minute of the game, that actually plays some darn good defense, while never quitting. You'd rather have a team of hacks, praying for the potential bounce of a ping pong ball.

You are basically right. You can have the most blatant losing culture in the league and it can turn around the second you land a Kevin Garnett or LeBron James.   Philly or sota's losing culture becomes irrelevant as soon as one of their star prospects makes a leap.

But I like our coach and hopefully he and the organization can be a draw for better players.

I'm not embarrassed for these guys.  And, I doubt they are embarrassed by their performance.  I'm sure they are frustrated and angry, though, as they should be.

Hopefully, they come back with the same hunger next year that they showed during the second half of this season and the playoffs.

Not all 20-something FAs are that shallow. There are some that care.

Those that don't? Well, judging by Wyc's comments a couple of weeks ago on Blog front page, we don't want those kind here.

We want those FAs that WANT to be here. If they WANT to be here, then they care about more than the superficial things.

Now can the anti tankers see exactly what the Celtics future is unless they do the right thing and tank? This is just brutal to watch this team get destroyed all series. Would have rather seen the Pacers meet this fate.
I thoroughly agree.  this thread and your undying love for tanking are a complete embarrassment.

well, the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem.  congratulations on that

Why is it embarrassing? We showed spunk ,grit and determination. That's something to be proud of .Consider where we were and what was accomplished by a 38 yr old coach and a band of young, inexperienced players who most are playing in the post season for the first time.

Maybe the Celtics should be aiming at an older free agent who is closer to 30 than to 25 and can bring maturity and poise to the roster.
