The NBA is the only league with: 1) Superstar Calls 2) Rookie Calls 3) Defensive Reputation No-Calls (guards on hand-checks and bigs on "verticality" 4) Last Shot No-Calls (Steph Curry at the end of Q3 in Grizzlies game, anyone? That miracle shot and subsequent momentum swing was a direct result of the no-call on the Jeff Green shot.) 5) Veteran Calls (ie Pierce step-back, pump fake, formality foul call if the guy jumps)

Something needs to change in the league, and all signs point to the refs.
Baseball has a lot of these.

Football I think has a tiny bit of it. Star QBs get the benefit of the doubt and a lot of times great lineman get away with holds etc while rookies get nailed.

However, with basketball it is to a higher degree and affects the game much more.

At a Buffalo Wild Wings in Ohio watching the game with friends. After every LeBron drive the Cabs fans shout "that's a foul!!" or "Ref what are you looking at?!" but my personal favorite was when they said "how did Teague get away with that hook?!" as if LeBron doesn't hook almost every drive haha.

Also, they don't think LeBron fouls ever like he does.
I really hope GS beats them.

Isn't it sad that the Celtics put up a better fight than the Hawks?

I just over heard a Cavs fan defending his complaining saying "When you're right you have to get your point across so the right call is made."

I don't like the theatrics, but Paul Pierce whined and flailed as much as anybody.  Is the fan wrong?  Lebron complained, and the call got reversed (correctly).  It's like a baseball manager arguing a call with an umpire.  Some times you do it because you're right, and sometimes you do it to get future calls.

It's just the fact that he is able to. Paul Millsap got a technical foul called on him earlier this series for arguing with the ref over a moving screen foul even though JR Smith bulldozed into him. That's the part that's so frustrating about it. LeBron literally threw a tantrum complaining and yelling while jumping up and down in front of the ref. That is completely excessive.

^ I can't argue with that.  I would have called the tech, while reversing the call.

Now that the East playoffs are just about over, I think it's safe to say that these last couple months has confirmed what we all thought...the Eastern conference is garbage.

The 1 seed is about to get swept by the 2 seed that's been without 2 of its top 3 players for most of the series (Kevin Love since the end of the first round).  The 3 seed is a constant underachieving team with an injury plagued point guard and center and a coach about to be fired.  The 4 seed got swept in the first round by the 5 seed who has a nitwit for a coach and depended on a guy on the verge of retirement to make all the big shots, who's most likely leaving anyway.  And we know what the Bucks, Cs, and Nets are.

The rest of the East needs to be careful, and diligent in building their teams, because we could be looking at 5 more years of Cleveland dominating the conference.

it looks like the Celtics are in better position than Atlanta over the next few years. They played Cleveland as tough as anyone has and they have a bunch of cap room and draft picks.

Give me love . give me love

Lebron is 7 points, 1 rebound, and 4 assists away from being the first player in the history of the NBA to average 30-10-10 over a playoff series.
