Man Houston can be setting league milestones and might be the first team in NBA history to come back up from a 3-0 deficit and win the series.

IIRC they can also become the first team in NBA history to come back up from an opponent leading a series 3 games up TWICE in one postseason.

This looks all too familiar of them winning a must-win game lol.

Haven't been able to watch the game until now.  Alarming free throw disparity, 31-13 in favor of the Rockets.  Has the game been called fairly?

Playing Hack-a-Smith right now.

Aside from the intentional fouls?  Harden with 13 FTAs, which is as much as the entire GSW team.

The Rockets are driving, while GSW are settling for jump shots.  Add in the intentional fouling and those free throw numbers seem about right

Thanks.

Just watched that Howard elbow to Bogut.  Not dissimilar from the elbow that JR Smith hit Crowder with.  Why the double standard?  The only difference is Bogut didn't get knocked out.  Howard escapes with a flagrant 1 and probably won't get suspended.  Moreover, Horford's elbow wasn't even in the head area and he got a flagrant 2.

The NBA.  Where inconsistency happens.

Not to mention that if Howard had gotten a flagrant-2, he not only would've been kicked out of this game but would've been suspended for the next (due to accumulation of 4 flagrant points this postseason).

And do you think the Warriors will figure out that, you know, Harden likes to take step-back 3-pointers, and maybe adjust their D a bit? Good grief.

Guys hve been so conditioned to view a step back 3 from the opponent as "winning" the position and with most players it is. However with Steph curry james harden and a small handful of guys. That hot is money.

Also even if you aim to take it away, it's pretty impossible to defend I mean i can't even imagine how I'd defend to takeaway a step-back 3.

Actually thought flagrant one was the correct call on the Howard play.  The elbow is not a legal play, obviously, but at some point a man has to be entitled his personal space.  Bogut was shoving and grappling with Howard during the rebounding action.  The elbow was a 'get off me' more than a cheap shot.

IMO the ref needs to blow the whistle on Bogut for the shove.  If that happens, the elbow doesn't.  I know this is playoff basketball, but some fouls are meant to prevent physical  play from escalating, and that was a great example.

If Howard wasn't ejected, then Horford shouldn't have. I don't think people are upset with Howard not being ejected as much as they are with such blatant inconsistency.

The shove + hold from Bogut precipitated/instigated the hit from Howard, which is why it was only a flagrant 1, is my guess.

If you swap the referees team it could have been :
Cavs - Hawks 2-1
Warriors - Rockets 4-0

The NBA.  Where inconsistency happens.

It will never change unless the NBA decides to clean up it's unspoken policies.  ...

the NBA purposely discriminates between stars and non stars .   The aura of the Refs and NBA rigging games or such won't ever go away long as they show blatant favoritism to certain players to keep, them in games.

Howard should have kicked out of the game.   .......going by how Smith and Horford got ejected.

Until equal treatment is doled out to super stars as average players nothing will change.

So......stuff like this is why people who claim the NBA is rigged ..have a point.   The NBA controls, the outcome of games though their refs.

The NBA is the only league with: 1) Superstar Calls 2) Rookie Calls 3) Defensive Reputation No-Calls (guards on hand-checks and bigs on "verticality" 4) Last Shot No-Calls (Steph Curry at the end of Q3 in Grizzlies game, anyone? That miracle shot and subsequent momentum swing was a direct result of the no-call on the Jeff Green shot.) 5) Veteran Calls (ie Pierce step-back, pump fake, formality foul call if the guy jumps)

Something needs to change in the league, and all signs point to the refs.

That is Dwight's go to move, if you take that out of his arsenal, he will rendered useless  ;)

In all seriousness why does the league need to change, they signed their new 24 billion dollar TV deal.
Until it cuts into their bottom line, the disgruntled fans mean next to nothing, great they have started showing the last 2 minutes of calls for people to see. What about the prior 46 minutes??
It is no coincidence that the NBA looks to expand into new markets, ones that aren't up to speed on the 'Inner' workings of the league.Easy money baby.

For all of the talk about the officials favoring the Cavs, they seem to miss a lot of obvious fouls on Lebron.  I think he suffers from the same thing Shaq used to:  he's so big and strong that even hard contact can seem minor.
