Pero Antic would be a terrible starting center.
He has done well when he has started for Atlanta.

Good physicality in defending opposing centers. Decent albeit below average rebounder. Shoots the ball well on offense.

He started all of 3 games this season. As for shooting well, I have no idea what statistics you're looking at, because by all measures, he shoots poorly because he takes the vast majority of his shots from 3, where he is hitting just over 30%. He's slow, has very limited mobility, doesn't have much of a post/interior game (or at least one that he's shown in the NBA), has lackluster footwork, and is a terrible rebounder.

He's the definition of a backup specialist center.

I like the idea of Zeller and Antic together at center. Zeller a quick footed center and more of a slasher on offense. Antic more physical and can hit outside shots. I think they provide good contrast to one another and give C's better matchup choices at center.

I like Pero as the starter to have his physicality in there. Then bring in Zeller where he can better exploit backup centers.

His numbers as a starter last year are still nothing particularly special.

Parker hurt them more than anything else. Especially in this last game, with the way CP3 couldn't move, a healthy Parker could have taken advantage.

CP3 and the Clips better hope he isn't dragging that leg against Houston. Harden and Ariza should be able to abuse that. Reddick will get his but will need to defend Terry in this series. Houston's bench should destroy. Harden will likely be defended by CP3 because I don't see how you can put Barnes on him with Ariza out there. I look for even more destroying of Blake defensively, Duncan had his way and so did Diaw at times. TJ will need to do some of it but I would play Smith a lot! I would play Smith a lot. Dwight should be able to take DJ out with foul trouble. Ooh wee,  what will they do with CB? That's going to be major. Man, Houston's bench is solid. Doc won't be able to play his starters as much as he did vs Spurs,  they will fall over and die. Especially Blake, who will have to meet Smith on the perimeter because he can shoot all of a sudden. O.o

I quit... looking at player vs. player, Houston should win this, because of the bench. I know Spurs had the better bench by a mile too but with Splitter and Parker being meh, Clips starters where so much better as a whole. Now Houston can use their bench to destroy the Clips bench because they won't need them to take up slack for their starters.

This is about to get good!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

It doesn't matter who's guarding Paul by the way. The Clippers completely mitigated any effect Green or Leonard had on Paul by running Paul through those high double screens. San Antonio bigs dropped back, Paul got the switch, and he shoots 50% from mid-range.

If we are starting Antic and Zeller next season, I will be crying each game! 2 bench players will be worse than what we had this season. Sully is a starter level player and better than either of them even if he has to get better on D. I would take any of our bigs over Antic. Antic at his best isn't better than Sully of last season, and Sully at (maybe) his best at times has looked like an Allstar!

I love having big Z, he was a steal for sure, thanks DA.  I'm just trying to figure out why people have made him so much better than his actual play has warranted. I said all season he has had more passes than any of our bigs. He could be out there playing horribly and not one peep was made about it. I would love it if we keep him as C #2, but there is no way people are honestly telling me they want him as our starter next season.

No idea how Washington has managed to be so successful in road playoff games over the past two years, but wow.

Great 2nd half by Washington. I think they'll win this series in 6 games.
