Draymond Green will do a very good job on Anthony Davis defensively. Davis relies heavily on his quickness to beat defenders. Green is quick enough to take those options away from him.

Davis will kill Green on cuts and stuff like that. But Green will handle Davis very well in isos and mid-to-high post actions. I don't think Davis has the post game to truly take advantage of the height mismatch in the post. Green does a good job fighting guys for position down there even though he lacks size.

I think New Orleans needs to take Asik off the floor. Move Davis to center.

This big starting lineup of theirs matches up too badly with Golden State. Fails to take advantage of Davis' skill. Make Bogut try to defend Davis. Davis will kill Bogut. Draymond Green is a much more difficult defender for Davis to deal with. New Orleans would get extra shooting on the floor with Ryan Anderson and open up the court for everyone else. Be a very difficult team to defend against.

I hope New Orleans dumps Asik this summer and moves Davis to center full time.

And Asik has been terrible defending, so he's of no use.

Why didn't Dwayne Casey play James Johnson? IMO he could've shut down Paul.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Pelicans looking terrible.
They have underachieved all year long. A bunch of individuals wearing the same shirt. Not a team. Do not play together. Do not help each other (on either end of the court) nearly enough. Rely on individual talent to bail themselves out.

It should have been the Thunder in the playoffs......

I'm surprised how uninvolved Pierce was throughout the game given how hot he was throughout it. Wizards need to give him more touches.

Haha, tell me about it.  Pierce was the leading scorer with 20 points on 10 shots, yet Wall was 5-18  and Beal was 6-23.

Why not see what Pierce could do with 23 shots when he's hot?  You probably would have won by 30, rather than squeak out an OT win with Beal playing 48 minutes.  Keep doing that and see how he's feeling a couple playoff rounds from now.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yeah, I've always liked James Johnson.

It's too bad Davis loves that jumper so much, just seems like a mistake not to get him the ball down low more.

I do not understand running a post up for Barnes against Dante Cunningham. Cunningham is 6-9 and has played most of his career at PF. He plays more in the post than Barnes does. The advantage there is Barnes' quickness. Get him coming off a screen and see if Cunningham can keep up with him. I bet Barnes gets good looks that way.

Pelicans defensive matchups are all over the place. One possession, it's Cunningham defending Harrison Barnes. Next possession it's Ryan Anderson defending Barnes. The possession after it's Anthony Davis defending Barnes. Messy. And you definitely do not want Davis out the three point line defending Barnes unable to provide interior defense & rebounding. Gotta do a better job of getting into defensive matchups in transition.

Post ups only 13% of Davis' offense. I think it his fault more than anything else. Needs to put in some serious time developing his post game in the summer.

Davis getting some friendly calls. Bailed him out of an out of control move a moment ago.
