The season has been over for 5 weeks and the UF's offseason is not looking so good.

Since the end of the season Wall fractured his left hand and wrist in 75 places, Zeller had shoulder surgery, and Motiejunas had back surgery.

Then this little lit bit showed up this morning....

Igor Marinovic ?@sofoklo13  3h3 hours ago
Denver Nuggets big man Jusuf Nurkic undergoes knee surgery today in LA. Recovery prediction is 3-4 months so Nurkic will miss Eurobasket2015

Sigh....

Tough Utah.... tough.

On the other hand.... the MVP of the (still shocked) league champ Gainesville Celtics is dominating the offseason according to Grantland:

Co-MVP. Westbrook was dominating down the stretch for sure, but his FG% and TOs somewhat offset his other-worldly production a bit. It was his buddy Anthony Morrow, who played like Kevin Durant for about 10 days... which covered the H2H finals. I almost want to trade u the UF 2016 #1 for Morrow, just so I can spite cut him opening day.

So yeah, I'm still bitter!!!

But really, it wasn't those two that cause me the title, it was the slew of atrocious injuries that sprang up out of nowhere... sigh.

Btw, I checked the TWW's totals for the 3d place match-up, he would have beaten us both in the finals. I guess that I don't feel so bad considering he lost out on title #3 by 1 3ptr or 1 steal.

Meh... confirmation bias...  8) :P

Had he advanced mystical things could have happened to his team (including the commish accidentally locking him out of Yahoo!... bwahhhhahaahah...)

I've made some minor edits to what I have available

Guys I'm sorta looking to move, but if I can't have a good shot to stick with me

Gerald Green....2nd next year
Patrick Beverly.....late first next year
Hollis Thompson...2nd next year
Corey Joseph....probably a late first next year
possibly Mason Plumlee....late first next year

2....I don't think it's realistic for me to get the value I'd want here, but I believe in freedom of thought and freedom of speech so if you want to mention it you can, but please don't waste time and effort
3...possibly a similar situation...would be looking for a first or two firsts next year, and maybe a lower one this year or something like that
19
20
22
34 ...package together with the next two picks for a bit higher 2nd next year

Sneaky FBB Playoff Waiver Pick-ups

About 1/2-2/3d of these players wont pan-out and will be waived by the season opener. However, I believe a couple will have an impact next season.

In no particular order:

"Moose" Muscala - Utah Flash - 7' center who can hit the 3 ball. Did I mention his 18 PER this season?
Nikola Jokic - The Bad Dream Team - Sigh....

I love Muscala. He was my first and only DKCnicks draft pick before I burned out. I was jealous of the pick up.

Jokic! My consolation prize along with my TURD place trophy for getting bounced again by the Flash. I'm excited that the Nuggets are bringing him over for next season. If Faried gets dealt (!?) in the process all the better.

Btw, I checked the TWW's totals for the 3d place match-up, he would have beaten us both in the finals. I guess that I don't feel so bad considering he lost out on title #3 by 1 3ptr or 1 steal.

Build me up, then knock me back down, huh?

2015 #30 and #33 2016 1st and 2nd round picks.

Unlike a lot of my respected colleagues, I'm happy to take on vets. I'm also absolutely going to deal my 2016 1st round pick out of impatience. No reason to think it won't fall in the 10-14 range again. Get at me.

Number 4 on the block. PM me if you want a shot at (most likely) a talented young PG.

This pick has been traded. Please no more PMs to me for it.

Thanks.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
I've gotten a couple of feelers via PM so I'll put it out here that while I can always chat, I'm not really willing to agree to any deals until the draft and free agency have been sorted out.  Too much speculation involved.

June/July/Aug -- The league will essentially hibernate. Teams may agree to trades, but they are NON-BINDING, meaning either team may back out w/ no reprecussions and WILL NOT be processed until Sept. 1. (The official moratorium failed a vote last summer, leaving it up to the commish... some dope named Gainesville Celtic. )

June 25 -- The real 2015 NBA draft

Sept. 1 -- League Moratorium will be lifted, offseason trades may formally be submitted and processed.

mid-Sept -- our 2-round rookie draft will be held

Just a reminder folks that (sadly) things are in hibernation mode in this league.

I know trading season is reopened in the PTS league, but May-June-July are my busiest work months and the deadest NBA fantasy period. My sense is that only a small % of GMs are checking in so the activity seems to be uneven.

Trades sent in won't be processed and I'll request those GMs resubmit closer to Sept.

Looking to trade the #7 pick this year for a good veteran player.  But I'm probably going to be picky with this one.

Wes Matthews..first rounder next year but not at the very end of the draft.
Gerald Green....2nd next year
Patrick Beverly.....late first next year
Hollis Thompson...2nd next year
Iman Shumpert...2nd next year
Corey Joseph....probably a 2nd next year
possibly Mason Plumlee....late first next year

There are some good deals available there.

Anybody else surprised by the amount of trade action? I've already missed on two provisional deals involving my 2016 1st.

What am I looking to do next? Move maybe two more picks. Or possibly players.

I am open minded to moving down from 3 in the draft maybe as far back as #9. I would be most likely to make that decision later. But if you want a pick around #19-22 don't be nervous about giving me a call.
