It sure looks so these days i guess. Danny - you are a genius!  ;)

amazing though to think at this point stephenson is getting DNP's while Turner is getting triple doubles when stephenson was all star snub last year and a major FA and nobody wanted ET for anything more than vet min

def think some of the credit here goes to coach stevens, but ET must be feeling pretty good about himself after tonights win. we've been lucky to have him, surprising enough.

Even Turner is simply silly. Lance Stephenson seems like a maniac sometimes. Danny made a solid decision.

I'd say it's more fit than anything.  Stephenson would probably do better than Turner for us in a similar role (though probably not enough to make up for his attitude)
I'm bitter.

Kind of, but more controlled and not a knucklehead.

Stephenson's more talented and more physical defender. His issue is he thinks he's better than he is and his ego is very toxic. He looked like a star in the making last season until ironically not making the all star team derailed him. Then he chose the wrong team to play for this year with Charlotte. If it weren't for his ego, I'd take Stephenson over Turner and I wouldn't think twice.

That's not a knock on Turner though. Despite all the frustrating things about him, Evan Turner has morphed into a nice swiss army knife type player for the Celtics. I hope that he'll stick around for when the Celtics are good again. I think he can be a very useful role player on a contender. I'm glad he's here.

In a word - no.  Especially defensively.

ET is just very smart.
He knew he has a chance to reboot his career and start new in a good franchise.
He's now using his awkward moves and shooting to his advantage.
The guy wants to stay here and he is showing it every night.
I wish other players reach the same maturity, like Javale.

Lance is definitely a knucklehead. But talent-wise, he takes the cake. He's obviously a difficult fit, but he can play with the best of them. That said, I do appreciate Turners contribution this year. I like the guy.

Turner is the most underrated Celtic I can remember. Just a really good player. Great ball handler, great passer, gets into the paint relentlessly. Mid range deadly. Size. Strength. Good D. Smart. Physical. Competitive. Clutch...

ZERO praise. ZERO credit for this team playing well. None. Ever. Never gets mentioned because he doesn't shoot the 3 so he's not sexy.

That give and go with Olynyk last night gave me a freaking pants tent.

tp------- for pants tent-and post--but you have to admit some of his passes are very deflationary-

In my honest opinion, Lance might be the better player but not by much. Depends on the system. However, with that said, I'd still take Turner because I think Stephenson is a headcase.

How about giving credit to Turner?

The question is how much of this is credit to ET and how much is credit to Stevens.
I go with Stevens, he just finds ways to get guys motivated and maximize their potential.

I often wonder how would the other lottery bound teams would do under Stevens. some of those teams have superior talent on the paper.

Yup.
