I would not add any of those... draft turner and upshaw with our picks and we are ok.... we have young as a wing... develop him... he is a better shooter than middleton... even if we reach the playoffs we still have a lot of players that need a lot of development... smart young sully kelly zeller bradley MUST be better next year

Hibbert is an improvement on D but his lack of offense would scare me. This would really be banking on Sully getting back to form and Smart increasing his scoring output.

The Celtics would be better, but no guarantee they'd win the division.

Hibbert sucks, and doesn't fit our system.

TP for cutting to the chase.

Hibbert is grossly overpaid and overrated. He averages 10 points and 7 boards a game - exceptionally pedestrian stats. He's good defensively but isn't great. His offensive vs defensive rating this year is 101 v 101 - dead even. Moreover, he's slow, soft and doesn't fit the system at all; nor is he the kind of player that you'd overhaul the system to accommodate. It's one thing if you run a system that caters to his style of play and then want to slot him in - he can be effective in that scenario. But it's quite another to run a system that does not cater to his strengths because he's simply not worth the disruption and other personnel changes that come with changing the system to fit his needs. He's not good enough for that.

Hibbert is good defensively in certain situations.  Some matchups, like with our good shooting agile bigs, he is a liability defensively.  So much so that the last game against us Indiana had to finally just pull him in the third quarter.

Whenever Hibbert was in, Brad went right to the man he was guarding setting a high pick and either popping or rolling.  Hibbert was just to slow of foot to be worth anything out there.   He couldn't hedge, he couldn't play back without giving up wide open threes and couldn't even stop the man coming off the pick from getting to the basket in ICE defense.

If teams could come up with a better defensive scheme where Hibbert would always get switched off the pick setting guy to someone away from the ball, maybe he'd be less of a liability and his strengths maximized.

This is exactly the problem with Hibbert. He is an outstanding defender when he can camp in the paint, but his lack of mobility kills him on the perimeter. He also offers little offensively. The "Hibbert sucks" posts are a little strong, but he is indeed overpaid and overrated.
