Moussa Diagne
Comparison: Biyombo
Freak Athlete, 6'11 230 pounds , 7'4 wingspan, explosive.  Tenacious defender and will try hard to deny entry passes.  Raw offensive game

Jarell Martin
Comparison: Julius Randle without a post game but a better jump shot
Against Kentucky a few weeks ago had a very nice game 21pts/11 rebounds mainly against Towns 12 points/13 rebounds (draftexpress matchup and scouting video on youtube).  6'9 with a 6'10 winspan but is strong and explosive for size. High motor

I think those are two good options with our second round picks.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Diagne might go in the 2nd round (raw offensively, contract situation). I doubt Martin will.  He had a very good year.  Held his own vs trees (Towns, WCS).   Martin could really jump up in the draft imo.

Nice post triguy. tp. I like the length on MD, especially that 9'3'' standing reach. It also looks like he has a solid free throw.

What about Robert Upshaw with one of our 2nd round picks. Its hard to get a read on him but he's been dismissed from 2 colleges and his hometown hs. he's 7 feet with at least a 7'4'' wingspan and probably a decent standing reach....maybe even 9'5''. He was averaging 4.7 blocks a game this year until he was kicked off the team.

I think upshaw is going to drop. Maybe even go undrafted.  After what happened to Larry Sanders, teams are going to stay away from "problem" players

Danny these days has avoided bringing in "problem" players

Moussa Diagne  sounds good for our first second round pick but I would work him out first and make sure that these highlights are not misleading as highlights often are.   Strength is something that can be built.   He looks like he might fill out into a Jermaine O'Neal type body at best which is not chopped liver.

I agree.  Only highlights but I liked the way he fights to deny the entry passes.   He looks like he doesn't shy away from the physical stuff either

He is in the Spanish League which is actually pretty good with their own scouting.  A lot of good players have come out of there and it's the second best league in the world.  I got a lot more interested when I saw he was from there

I don't see Ainge drafting Upshaw but I seriously doubt he goes undrafted.  2nd round picks are made for taking chances.  Philly has 5 2nd rounders so there is no reason for them not to use one of them on Upshaw.

It's not just that Upshaw was dismissed, it's that he's now been let go by at least 2 schools, iirc, for drug use.  No thank you.

http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2015/story/_/id/12557546/louisiana-state-tigers-forward-jarell-martin-says-entering-nba-draft

Quote
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU sophomore forward Jarell Martin says he'll be leaving the Tigers to enter this summer's NBA draft.

The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 16.9 points and 9.2 rebounds this season and received AP All-SEC first-team honors.

Martin, who joined the program in coach Johnny Jones' second season, says he was happy to play a role in LSU's progress.

He says he fulfilled one of his top goals this season by helping the Tigers return to the NCAA tournament for the first time in six years.

LSU was knocked out in the first round by NC State last week.

Martin shot 51 percent this season and hit a team-high 140 free throws. He also registered 15 double-doubles.

Jones says Martin has been a hard worker and very coachable.

Martin reminds me more of Bass than Randle.  That's not a knock... I'd happily take a Bass with a late first... But I don't believe he has the upside that a comp to Randle implies.  I see his ceiling as a fringe starter in the NBA - a 5th option on a good team.

Randle will reach his potential if he can learn to shoot. Martin already can. Similar body, strength, explosiveness for size and ability to guard post/perimeter players

Martin couls be a steal down the line as he keeps developing his body.  Very good motor. Again held his own against kentucky trees

I agree with that assessment. Randle has a very good post game that Martin does not. This isn't an aspect of his game that is going to improve move to the bigger stronger NBA. Martins length worries me on defense but as a late 1st he should at least make it as a bench player in the NBA with (like you said) fringe starter potential.

Diagne, I know nothing about him aside from Draft Express but he looks like a nice draft and stash option in the 2nd round. Maybe 2-3 years down the road he becomes a nice 4th big.

A 6-10 Bass would be nice.
