I like the way we are playing now... with a athletic center and small forward we would be better... i would trade sully for harkless and a pick or barnes and a pick or kidchrist and a pick...

I would definitely be open minded to this. Kinda slow and injury prone and not really defensive minded. Not sure what we could get for him

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Trading a player while they are injured is never a good idea. He needs to come back and show he is healthy before we can get any value for him in a deal.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would trade him in a heart beat.  It's fun watching him post up but I don't really think he's helping us win.  The problem is that most teams that have stuff I like already have a better PF than Sully.

NO - Davis
LAC - Blake
POR - LaMarcus
Chicago - Pau & Mirotic & Gibson
Utah - Favors
SA - Duncan
DET - Monroe
Memphis - Randoph
Atlanta - Milsap
Dallas - Dirk
Cleveland - Love
Denver - Faried
OKC - Ibaka
Indiana - West
Lakers - Randolph
Golden State - Draymond Green
76ers - Noel (I think he's a defensive PF)

That's 19 PFs that I don't think teams want to replace with Sully in a vacuum, not to mention that Towns will probably play PF for whoever drafts him.

it would be silly to trade him now

He is injured and overweight. He has to get in shape if he wants a good contract after next year. That only benefits the c's, he either gets in shape and reaches his potential, or we let him go or sign him to  cheap contract because no one is going to give him big money at that point .

His value can only go up , and if not we have plenty of picks to replace him.

agree completely
i'd trade him but his value is at a low point, much like rondo's was, next season sully plays better signs extension and trade

Charlotte would turn down Kidd-Gilchrist and a pick for Sully.

Barnes and a pick seems fair if GSW believes Sullinger still has potential (as I do).

Harkless and a pick is bad value.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

MKG and Barnes without the pick would be definites in my mind - would really fill out our roster (would like Barnes over MKG). When talking about the ORL SFs, I don't have much interest in Harkless and Harris will be super-overpaid, but I wonder about Gordon...

Barnes for Sully straight up is something I'd consider but ultimately would not pull the trigger. Sullinger is putting up superior box score stats. On the flip side, he has an injury history and is putting up such stats on a worse team. Cs would probably need either two 2nds or a late 1st to make it worth it.

MKG for Sully would be big for the Cs, especially if they could replace Sully with a shooter at the 4 (Kelly if he improves, or sign Love maybe?). Smart, Bradley and MKG on the perimeter would be a dangerous defensive trio. If we could sign Love and find a center in the Donatas Montiejunas/Kristaps Porzyngis mold, we'd be set. Tons of ifs in there, though.
