SMU call

That sucks. The shot was off, but that player still interfered with the downward trajectory of the ball. With that shot being close to the rim, any experienced referee will call that goaltending.

Bad day for the state of Texas.

Bad day for the state of Iowa.  Iowa State alumni here...
Man the cyclones couldn't block out a chair today.  So disappointing.

I feel for Baylor and Tx as well.  Big 12 doing nothing to counter the over-rated tag we have been hearing a lot of.

I feel for the Texas fans.  I don't understand one bit what Rick Barnes is doing with his roster.  Myles Turner was really deserving or more minutes / touches.  He was one of their best off players but never got fully integrated into their team.

On the flip-side, I'm thankful for Barnes. If Turner had gone to another school, and utilized correctly, there is no chance at all we get him in the range we'll be drafting (10-15). Even if we make the playoffs, and do get the #15, we have the assets to easily trade up to nab Turner.

I think it really sucks for SMU. The call was technically right, as far as I could tell from the replays, and the ref called it the way he's supposed to. But let's face it: that shot had zero chance of going in. Based on the trajectory, it was either going to just scrape the front of the rim and go straight down to the floor, or maybe catch a bit more iron and take a sharp bounce outward, away from the hoop. UCLA, in my opinion, shouldn't even have been in the tournament, and now they got fortunate again. I'm looking forward to when UCLA loses.

Tough indeed, but that's how it goes. Sometimes a mistake can cost you the game. This was the mistake that UCLA needed to get past SMU.

He would have been a perfect fit for the C's. Too bad he'll be long gone when we pick.

I posted this on an another thread. If it will take a "stupid package" to get him, I say get him. He's going to be very, very good. And this game he's showing that he's willing to take over if needed.

I love how he moves, his handles, his off ball stuff. Man, he'll be crazy good once he polishes his game.
