Just calling it now. I have it on good authority the Cs org feels they can work him into a better, more rounded player, and therefore leverage his shotblocking ability more consistently. If they strike out on a marquee big man early in FA, look for this to happen.

I would be a big fan of his signing. Its crazy but he is still only 22 and will not be 23 till Aug. That makes him the same age as most college seniors. With the typically slow development of big men it is safe to predict that Biyombo is still 2-4 years from hitting his developmental peak.

I took it as $12MM total.  For that money, I say why not?  That's relatively short money.

I would like this move.  I have a feeling we are going to strike out with the bigger names.  Does Charlotte not want him back at all?  Maybe it would have to be some sort of sign and trade deal.

Given his age, I wouldn't mind giving him 6M per for 4 years. I think that has a potential to be an insanely great contract once you couple the new CBA with his expected improvement over the life of the deal.

I'm not saying I'd be excited about it, but I wouldn't be angry.

It was impressive how well Charlotte played with Biyombo starting in Big Al's place while Big Al was injured.

Second that.

Biyombo is not that good.

If we go after any Charlotte big man, it should be Jefferson, not Biyombo.

My offseason binkies is greg Monroe.
Would love to pair him with an athletic rim protector.
BB seems to fit this criteria but I have some concerns about the pairing.
He is currently playing with AJ, a similar player to GM (though GM is faster and IMO has a higher ceiling)
He plays behind AJ not with him for the most part. so we don't know much about how he'd fair next to GM.
Is he mobile enough to decent today's wing 4's?
