Just four or five years ago, D-Will and Rondo were often regarded as two of the best point guards in the league. Looking at them now, it's pretty sad to see just how low their value has fallen -- whether it was due to injuries or changes of coaching and scenery.

Which one do you think will rebound at this point in their career? I'd say D-Will just because he's a better shooter than Rondo. What do you guys think?

Rondo has historically rebounded better than Williams, and I expect to see him rebound better now.  ;)

I'll take Rondo any day over D Will

Rondo.  His shooting has been poor but before the trade he was averaging 10.8 ast and 7.5 reb.  If they can't get things worked out in Dallas, he'll leave and go to a team that is a better fit.

Rondo.  He was better than DWill and DWill appears to be degenerating faster.  Fair chance it's neither though.

Rondo is still Healthy , if not as quick as he once was.  To me his issues are between his ears,

I take Rondo today over DWill

DWill is just too fragile ....

If D-Will could shake the injury problems I'd go with him, but I'm pretty sure he can't shake the injury problems.

He can't shake that or the mental block that is becoming increasingly harder to deal with after each performance, in my opinion.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

I wouldn't want to give money or minutes to either player hoping they'll turn a corner. Just have the discipline to understand neither is worth it, and find player(s) that will bring you wins instead of nostalgia.

It's so sad watching Rondo play now-a-days.

The thing is that what made Rondo unique and almost impossible to plan against was the "other" stuff he gave you besides Assists and PG duties.  It was his hustle, his rebounding, his steals, lose balls and all the little things that made him unique.  He didn't need the ball as much to impact a game back then.

Heck, I would take Rondo's 1st, 2nd and 3rd year in the league vs the Assist leader Rondo any day.

The Sad thing is that for some reason, he can't or won't do the other things used to make him special.

To answer your question, D-Will might be more "accommodating" than Rondo.  And so, probably a better choice going forward.....I think.  But that's not saying much about either player value I guess.
