Oh well....

I liked BS as a Celtic for the brief time he was with us (although he left us to play with that Italian team).  Coaching is another story.

One... two.. three.... days? lol

Perhaps the team was counting down the days until the coach was fired? But honestly, after that little stunt, did anyone really not see this coming? So much for pretty much everyone here wanting Shaw two summers ago! lol

While Shaw was not a good coach, he didn't get any favors from an ownership group that committed to an overachieving team that likely wasn't going to get any better than the year Karl won COTY

I'd like to see Shaw get a chance with another team.

The front office in Denver did a terrible job with the roster there. They should take majority of the blame for Denver's troubles on the court.

Yeah, Denver's front office has really botched this entire thing. They fired their Coach of the Year, hired Shaw and explicitly asked him to implement a new style of play, and then refused to bring in the wholesale roster changes he would've needed for said style.  Even this year, they've kinda half-assed the whole breaking up the team thing by only letting go of Afflalo (whom they brought back because they were arrogant enough to believe the post-Karl Nuggets were a top eight team in the West when healthy) and Mozgov.  I'm ignoring McGee because he's a complete non-factor at this point.

Remember when Shaw was a coveted coaching commodity?  That didn't last long.  I agree it's mostly on the front office's shoulders though - to go from a 57 win season to this mess in 2 years without radical changes to the roster is pretty remarkable.

Also, their baffling signings/acquisitions of Nate Robinson, Randy Foye, J.J. Hickson, and Darrell Arthur.  Talk about duplication of mediocre-at-best talent.

And now the word is that they want to recommit to ramping up the pace.

Personally, if Thibs is really on the way out in Chicago, I'd love to see him (and his defense) take up residence in the Pepsi Center. Talk about a hostile home court advantage.

RIP Danilo Gallinari's knees and Wilson Chandler's body, if that's the case.

(Though they really should just trade both guys, anyway).

They probably never should have traded for them in the first place.

Not like Carmello's knees are exactly healthy.

They were a great return for Melo.

That didn't take long:

With Brian Shaw out in Denver, I'm told Mike D'Antoni would definitely have interest in the job.
