To think the thunder had three of the  five best players in the game is mind boggling. With josh smith accepting his role now, Terrance Jones back healthy, and Howards replacement is better than Howard, the rockets are poised for a deep run riding hardens shoulders.

TP, thinking that watching the Rox/Cavs yesterday.

So many bad calls going the Cavs way. Sickening.

Don't mind rooting for McHale.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Too bad OKC wouldn't go over the luxury tax and just keep Harden.

It's like, sometimes you just need to make exceptions - how many opportunities at a championship do teams really have? I get that there probably weren't enough basketballs to go around, but Harden was a ridiculous sixth man. I can't imagine OKC is all that psyched with the return they got in Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and PJ3 (?). It just goes to show - it's a 'stars' league.

When I saw the title of this thread I just assumed it was going to be about praising Harden for kicking Lebron James in the nuts.

They must be kicking themselves. Him Westbrook and KD would be the best perimeter offense ever. They could've been a dynasty.

OKC's ownership has the temerity to complain about losing money as a small market team after they bought the team and moved it from one of the largest media markets in the country. They have continually pinched pennies on everything while making a metric ton in playoff revenue. They used a loophole to get reimbursed for Kevin Durant's contract after the dust settled from the lockout, despite the fact that KD has made them very, very successful.

Eff those guys. They deserve to see Harden, Westbrook, and KD win rings for other teams.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Not second best, but has probably taken the reigns as 3rd best, being slightly better overall than Curry. It's close.

And to think that the only reason we didn't get him over Jeff Green in the Perkins trade was because Presti ummed and ahhh'd and finally refused to give Harden over.
Danny wanted Harden- what foresight that was huh?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
