Celtics newcomer Isaiah Thomas is the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Well that didn't take long.

Thomas will be the first 6th man of the year winner, for the Cs, since Walton.

Kid is definitely a weapon.  But he needs to get his shooting percentage up to get to the next level.

When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

So he's like Jordan Crawford good, huh?

I actually quite like IT22 and Steez, and have since they were both drafted into the league.

I wonder how frequently a bench player has won player of the week.

Well deserved.

Some of his drives to the hoop are quite courageous.

got to apologize to IT, i've commented before on how i was worried he'll be nate rob 2.0... but he's clearly a far superior player, got a great shot he can get up from almost any spot, and he's just terrific at handling the ball. he should get even better as the players around him improve.

We have a dangerous bench now and IT is a big part of that.

IT worse game last night as a Celtic and he still scored 20 pts.

Gsw did a great job crowding him. Basically steve kerr told his guys , sufficate IT and let guys like Crowder beat us.

He guessed right.

We need another IT diff position version and we arr going to make some big noise in the playoffs

Why is this thread getting no play at all? It is still on page one and I actually had to bump it back to the front page from the forums section.

One of our players actually gets a fairly impressive accolade and it's a big 'ol yawn from CB. If this were Sully or AB, the pages would be adding up in this thread. I get the feeling IT is going to have a very Monta Ellis-esque career - a 2nd round pick who consistently puts up big point totals, but people are always weary of because he was never highly touted in the first place.

Btw, TP to Sed522002. Didn't you also create the 'Crawford - player of the week' thread, too? I guess you definitely have a thing.  :D
