Definitely sign him if your Danny. It would only be for the vet min and we can give him playing time (15-20 mpg) . He might be a little slow upstairs , but he has great athletic ability and length that allows him to at least challenge people at the rim, we don't really have anyone else like that on this team .

If we are serious about making a run to the playoffs, it would certainly be nice to have a long athletic center who would improve our chances if we face Atlanta in the 1st rd .

Not even is someone paid us to have him. He's a bonehead with pretty much zero skill. His achievements so far are the result of being seven feet tall and able to walk and chew gum at the same time. And his mom is worse than Satch Sullinger.

Sign him and Larry Sanders...Stevens can turn them into the players they should be...lots of young guys start off shaky in the NBA....like Zach Randolph.

 ;D
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

If we sign McGee then this nice little fun playoff push we are in the middle of immediately ends.

Low IQ basketball players are bad to have around a team.

What would your all-bonehead team be? Only players currently playing in the league.

I think something like

Cousins at the 5
McGee at the 4
Josh Smith at the 3
Lance Stephenson at the 2
Rondo at the 1.

At first glance that sounds like a terrifying team to play against, but imagine the locker room nuclear detonation when Rondo starts pounding the ball and Smith starts launching threes. I think these 5 guys would kill each other before killing another team.

I think you have to distinguish 'bonehead' from attitude problems. McGee has never had attitude problems, he just doesn't make smart decisions on the basketball court, basically has a very low bball IQ. Cousins, Rondo, Stevenson, all have great basketball IQs, but major attitude issues.

I think that's part of the beauty. Bad basketball IQ will trigger attitude problems which will cause the team to self-destruct. I think there are multiple kinds of boneheads out there.

The crazy thing is that if each of those players could work out their issues, that team would be freaking terrifying to play against.

I know we are desperate for quality bigs but this guy just isn't it. Yes, he's got size and some athleticism and might come cheap. But he lacks any sort of offensive game and doesn't understand how to play defense. He has a very low basketball iq.

just let him set picks for IT and have him dive directly to the hoop for lobs. Thats the only offense he needs, and offensive rebounds .

On defense , he just needs to  give us 10-15 mins of rim protection .

If it's for the vet min , why not ?

Zellar is the only center on our roster, we need another and McGee is likely the best option out there .

Don't see Okafor(if healthy) O'Neal types are signing here . Dalambert probably signs with a contender too .

Can you really think that?   This is not the same athlete that he once was folks.   He also is a known knucklehead.
