  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I'd absolutely sign him for the rest of the year, maybe Stevens can work his magic on him.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Surprised. McGee said he didn't want a buyout. He wanted his money. All of it. That he was too young to go title chasing.

Philly must be very unhappy with him if trying to force him to take a buyout.

Almost two years later and some of ours fans still don't know anything about Brad Stevens.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

Transplant Gerald Wallace's brain into McGee's head, and you'd have an all-star.

Some guys will never get it, and that's McGee.

I'd definitely take a Josh Smith-type buyout deal right now for a couple of million. Good thing is he said himself he's not looking to chase a title right now, so maybe we could convince him to sign with us the rest of the year by promising a larger role and the opportunity to grow into a starting role if he does well enough. Could be a good reclamation situation for him.

I'd give him a shot.

God knows we need more size in the paint.

Nope. No chance. He's dumb as a brick. The only thing he's got for him is that he's a 7 footer.

I don't see how you would not want to give him a shot. He's dumb, but not a trouble maker. The major problem with him was that he was overpaid, which won't be the issue now. He's still a young, athletic 7 footer who can be a defensive force under the right coach. He still hasn't recovered fully from his broken leg though. I would love to give him a shot.

Agree with the sentiment that his problem is up stairs and not in his behavior . Hes no Boogie but atI this pointis I might rather have a fool than a malcontent. Neither is ideal but in McGee's case whenever he starts losing focus you can put Zeller back in.

It'd be nice to pick up the rest of this year and next to see what we have with him.
