A 10th pick plus KO gets you a 9th pick, maybe an 8th.  I wouldn't do it.

What about Kelly and this years pick for Loul Deng, I think he'd be great here and a clear upgrade at the 3 position, and I think it's pretty reasonable. He was available at this trade deadline.

why would you grossly overpay for Deng?  KO for Deng, sure.  I'd be hard-pressed to consider KO + Clips pick for Deng.  solid defender but not enough offense.

Isn't he getting pretty old now?

He turns 30 April 15th.

As far as not enough offense, I'm not sure we need that. With the exception of his rookie year, he's averaged anywhere from 14.1-19.0 PPG. I think those are sufficient for us offensively, especially with what he brings on the defensive end.

Big Luol Deng fan here. He's an old 30 -- playing for thibs and an international team will do that, and while I would have loved him here from the day KG arrived to the day Rondo left, I don't think he fits a real need for our team now.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I wonder what is going to happen in Miami. Wade turns 34 next season, it unclear if Bosh will return to play, Deng is also a pretty old 30. They may have discovered a great young piece in Whiteside, but does it make sense for them to keep Dragic? It seems to me that all their moves last offseason may have ultimately been the wrong ones. If they could have traded Bosh for a young player and picks in a sign and trade and gotten a good pick on their own in the draft they would be sitting in a much better position today. Obviously nobody could have predicted the Bosh thing, but their future seems pretty bleak based on lack of young talent, salary cap etc.
