New York doesn't have the necessary picks to pull off this trade.  That's why, despite Dragic publicly saying he'd go to NY, there hasn't been a peep from them.  It's not because they think theyll get him in free agency.  It's because they have nothing to offer.

I agree. Just fun to throw out ideas on deadline day.

I like Lawson here better than some of the other names thrown around just because his salary is not crazy high.

New York doesn't have the necessary picks to pull off this trade.  That's why, despite Dragic publicly saying he'd go to NY, there hasn't been a peep from them.  It's not because they think theyll get him in free agency.  It's because they have nothing to offer.

But they have Calderon and they can offer one first. Maybe the 2nd pick comes from us? We give one pick to Phoenix and one to Denver? Maybe we can get something else from NY like Hardaway Jr? Or send Hardaway to Phoenix instead of a first.
