Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 4 minutes ago (via Hoopshype twitter)

Knicks now just $2,864,685 over tax line after Stoudemire buyout. One more meaty contract shed and Phil's Knicks (whoa) would be UNDER tax

I always liked his game and we could get him for nothing most likely.  I think we have a trade exception that he could slide right into, correct?

Thoughts??

P.S. This is the kind of OPPORTUNITY we have to JUMP ON.  Get ur done Danny!!!!

Breaking protocol here, but I really think this is a good idea.  I would appreciate others feedback on this.

Thanks,

I like him but don't see the spot for him, especially him being on a one year contract.  If it is for a trade exception, sure.  A real late 2nd.  OK.  But nothing more.

I like him but I don't see the point.  He is 28, mostly a role playing PF on the last year of his contract.  If we could flip him for something else maybe, or if the Knicks say throw in a 2nd round pick for helping them out.

He can help man the center spot.  I know he is listed as a PF, but he would be a Center on our team!!

this.  don't see an overwhelming need to help the Knicks shed the contract of a marginal player when we could use that available slot for someone better

Ditto.

I have liked his game. I don't know if he just tailed off or its the Knicks, but I wouldn't give more than what WD has stated for him since he can just leave after the season.
