we send  bass and boston 2015 pick to the suns for dragic

we send 2016 and 2018 brooklyn picks along with seller bradley and wallace to the king's. we also give up the mavs first or minnisota first. their choice

we end up with a starting line up of
dragic
smart
turner
sully
cousins

we would make the playoff's for sure and probably go a good chunk of the way. we would have the clippers pick which would be less then ours. I would hope that we would try and sign jimmy butler in the off season along with dragic making and amazing team of
dragic
smart
butler
sully
cousins
with a bench of olynyk, young, turner, clippers pick and anyone else we can still afford.

we will have the clippers pick, mavs, cavaliers, brooklyin 2017 and our own 2016 and onwards

I know it's insane and highly unlikely but do you at least think the trades between the suns and celtics and celtics and kings are fair. not likelihood of happening but do u think it is fair for all sides.

I like this concept, get Boogie + another star.  I'm not sure we can get Cousins without routing them a really good players along with all those firsts.

Here's another idea--

Trade 1)  route Dragic to NYK in a god father offer Phil can't refuse.

PHX gets   Bass + 2015 LAC 1st, 2016 Mia 2nd
NYK gets   Dragic, AB, Sully, Thornton + 2015 Bos 1st, 2016 Cle 1st
BOS gets   Anthony

Why?  everyone in NY knows Carmelo won't fit into the triangle, this deal clears the slate for Phil getting him a cornerstone pg, 2 solid young players, and two firsts.  Deal sweetened by Thornton's 8.6m expiring, opening up options for the offseason.  Phx gets a player who'll help them make the playoffs and two decent picks-- likely the best deal on the table.

Trade 2)  With Melo now in Boston, Boogie drops the demand.

DEN gets   GWallace + 2016 Mavs 1st, 2017 Mem 1st
SAC gets   Lawson, Olynyk + 2016 and 2018 BKL 1sts, 2016 Min 1st, 2016 Phi 2nd
BOS gets   Cousins

Why?  For Denver getting 2 firsts for Lawson is a great way to start rebuilding their messy situation.  In Sac, George Karl gets his guy plus a young big who should fit his up & down pace.  Throw in 3 firsts plus a second that's essentially a late first -- and I don't see how Sacramento can pass on this if (and only if) Boogie wants out.  That said, given what Boston could put around him -- he really *should* want out.

Leftover for the C's after all this:  all our own 1sts from 2016 onward including that valuable pick-swap with BLK in 2017, plus a handful of extra 2nds -- oh yea, and this roster:

Smart / Turner
Young
Crowder / Prince
Carmelo
Cousins / Zeller

Honestly I'd be stoked with Lawson and Kanter coming in if we could keep Smart, AB, Crowder, KO, Sully and Zeller.

Hey if we're going to dream why don't we dream for KD or someone like that.  Please repeat after me. WE AREN'T GETTING COUSINS!!

Sure that's exactly what George Karl does, he trades his best asset and rebuilds...

I am as deep in the "it's totally unrealistic to think Cousins is available" camp as anybody, but 2 Nets 1sts would certainly get their attention.  I would almost think though that we'd want to keep Bass in that scenario, since we would all of a sudden be exactly the type of team that needs a player like that.  Also, I would prefer Smart as the PG and Dragic as the SG, but that's just hair splitting.

I really doubt though that Cousins gets moved.

I find it curious that folks still hang their hat on the possibility of getting Cousins. Does anyone think George Karl would have signed up if he was losing his best player from a losing team?  And he is no spring chicken so I doubt he is interested in a long rebuild.

I think to get Cousins, we have to make the grandfather offer. This isn't enough.

Let's say Bass + 1st rounder for Dragic.
Now it's time to go all-in. Replace Wallace's bad contract with Young and Olynyk.
Bradley, Young, Olynyk, LAC (2015), Brooklyn (2016), Brooklyn (2018)

You pay someone later to take Wallace, right before you actually need the cap space.

Dragic + Cousins + Butler = $45M
Smart + Sullinger + Turner + Zeller = $11.8M
our 1st round pick = $2M
---
Total: $58.8M

Room for another max guy the following summer.
