ESPN sources say Celtics emerging as contender on the outside for Goran Dragic in trade with Phoenix

Quote
Don't forget Celtics prez Danny Ainge and Suns GM Ryan McDonough have strong working relationship and have already done a deal this season

Teams that would gamble on Dragic deal now (Celtics/Rockets/Kings) are banking on idea fifth year would make big difference in free agency

My offer would be Bradley & the Minnesota 1st round pick for Dragic. PHO gets a good defensive SG to put next to Bledsoe. Thomas comes off the bench. The Celtics clear Avery off the books even if Dragic doesn't re-sign. We give up one of our lesser value picks out of the million we have. Get it done Danny!!!

What does Phoenix want here?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Dragic and Smart would be a really nice back court for the next 5 years....

PHX says the want some size. We could offer something around KO? I'm not sure Danny is all that inclined to do so. I am not saying we should move KO for him but he would probably be the starting point.

Lets not forget the return we got for Rondo. Mind u he never had his said he was leaving. With that said, a late 1st and either an expiring (Thornton, Prince, or Bass) or Bradley should get it done. We also have the TPE, although is rather keep it for someone else

What does Phoenix want here?

As much as they can get, but presumably either multiple picks or a combination of picks and players who can immediately help their team.

I think the Lakers could make a really good offer if they gave up their pick from Houston and dropped the protection on their 2015 pick which Phoenix already controls.  They can also send back Nash's expiring, insured contract to create some financial savings for Phoenix (and have a Steven Nash night near the end of the year to sell a few more tickets).

Just for info - Windows "refresh" shortcut is F5.
"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

Bradley, DAL 1st, BOS 2nd for Dragic and Plumlee

Dragic and Smart would be a really nice back court for the next 5 years....

A very nice backcourt, and a significant step out of this morass of "accumulating assets" back toward where this franchise needs to be.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
