Just for fun, if it did happen

Trade ideas

first trade
To Kings: Zeller, Sullinger, Wallace, 2015 Celtics 1st, 2015 Clippers 1st, 2016 2nd
To Celtics: Cousins,  Stauskus

second trade
To Nuggets: Avery Bradley, Evan Turner, 2016 Celtics 1st
To Celtics: Lawson

Celtics lineup

Cousin/KO
Bass/Crowder
Prince/Young
Smart/Thornton
Lawson/Stauskus

Could this lineup at least make it past 2nd round?  ECF?

That's not enouth for Cousins. Also if your going to trade for cousins makes more sense to trade KO and pair him with Sully

I just don't see Bradley being someone Denver wants when they just picked a very similar player in Gary Harris, and I think you have a much better chance at Cousins by relaying Lawson to Sacramento rather than trying to get them both.

Top 3 team in the East, IMO.

You need a bit of luck in the health department sometimes in the playoffs, but they'd compete if healthy.  Great squad

How does that make sense? especially for the Celtics.  Can't give up Zeller, Sully and KO

The Kings will need a center back.   Plus Zeller can run which is the type of frontcourt player Karl is looking for

Shaw is big on defense. They will try to pry Smart away but if not I can see AB the guy they will ask for next.

Both trades will be hard to pull off. But with Karl coming in and Nuggets in a mess, Kings/Nuggets gm could make a spontaneous move.  Sixers are like the only other team with enough 1sts and assets to potentially grab these guys. But I don't think Karl is looking for a full rebuild and Denver would at least want a guy like Ab + a 1st

It was worded poorly. I ment replace Sully with KO in they Trade and pair cousins with Sully

Interesting.

I'm not really a fan of Cousin but I think Stevens/Smart/Prince could help calm him down in certain situations.  He is definitely skilled.    Winning games and actually making the playoffs for once could help cure things also

Heh, if we pulled off those two trades, I think we'd still have enough cap space to sign a max deal this summer.  Dumping Wallace and Bradley salary is key.

you probably have to give up 2016 and 2018 brooklyn picks and an additional 1st(out of C's 2015 and Dal pick) plus a prospect for a shot at Cousins

Something like

Bos sends: KO,Turner and Thorton's salary, 2015 c's pick, 2016brk , 2018 brooklyn
Sac sends: Cousin
You probably have to do it , but those could be some very good picks.

Then you have AB,Young,Sully, zellar , dal pick, cle pick, 2017 right to swap with brk as chips to land , Rondo TPE to land Lawson

Bos sends: Rondo TPE , Brk 2017 pick, cle pick , 2 philly 2nd rd picks (which are like late 1sts)
Den sends: Lawson

We would have no brooklyn picks left

PG: Lawson     / Smart
SG: AB            / Young
SF: Prince       / Crowder
PF: Sully         / Bass
 C: Cousins     / Zellar

In the east this team is easily top 5

Sully and Cousin pairing upfront could turn out to be a disaster. Slow as snail.

The whole pt of getting cousin is for Stevens to continue his small ball preference

Plus like i already mentioned ,karl is not interested in a full out rebuild. He is too old for that. Zeller plus Sully makes more sense for the kings
