Definitely kicking the tires. He was the 8th pick in 2012, asking price could be high

Would you go after him? And what would you give up to get him?
I don't know much about T-Ross. How is he on the defensive side of the ball? I know he's incredibly athletic and a hell of a three point shooter, but I'm not sure how his athleticism has translated to the defensive side of the ball. Could be a great complement to the Smart/Young pairing.

His on/off splits are bad this year and it's all coming from the defensive end. The Raps are 7 points worse per 100 with him on the floor (112 vs 105). He had bad numbers last year too (108 vs 105).

I did a little more poking around and it looks like assessments of his D range from "bad" to "slightly below average."

I haven't watched him much but, tough to tell as Toronto as a team is far from stellar defensively (18th overall in defensive efficiency) Nothing in his stat line stands out. His contract is very low risk (2 more years on rookie contract) We could certainly use a scoring 3 but, not sure I could call him that either. Stat line reads 10/4/1 in 25 minutes) Athletically gifted though

I think he would be a very good get for us. He hasn't been great this year but Toronto is playing at a slower speed than he is best suited for. I'm not giving up much more than Bass and a second.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

He'd be an upgrade on Bradley with higher upside, but I don't think I'd give up too much to get him.  I'd rather look for an upgrade in the draft.

I would trade for him if the price isn't to high. He is a player with big potential, and he might be a good asset come draft night.

I remember he once scored 50 in a game, but his game seems like it has plateaued at age 24.  I would still chance on him though.  Maybe Ross, and you combine some of the dead weight on their team like Fields, Steisma, or Hansborough for 1 or 2 of our vets in Bass, Prince, or Thornton.

Maybe we could build an offer around Zeller? Raptors could like a solid backup for Jonas Valanciunas

Something like:

Terrence Ross and Chuck Hayes for Evan Turner and Tyler Zeller

We could use our Brandon Wright trade exception

Is that a fair deal?

I'd prefer to just keep Zeller.  Productive centers are worth more than replacement level wings.

The exclamation point seems a bit much.

Yeah. T.ross is a bust for his draft position unfortunately. Has some tools but hasn't shown any ability to put them all together for any stretch of time.
