You are not an NBA GM (unless you're D'Alessandro or King). This is a good thing.

If we want to make a playoff push, that's the kind of silly moves we should make.

You had me at "silly"...

I think Ainge ultimately nets two players better than both Dragic & Lopez. It's a waiting game, but the ammo is there to do it.

I think we can get more for Bradley than just Dragic's expiring contract .
I'd rather let our Young guys make their own playoff push.
i'm not sure why everyone is so keen on Dragic...He's just not that good and he's about to turn 29.
What's his specialty?  Seems like a rich man's Jeff Green of the point guard breed.

Lopez is cooked and I can't see us taking him without a decent asset coming back with him.

I kind of think of Dragic as the total opposite of JG. I mean, I was a Green supporter, but he was not a leader and wasn't the kind to lead his team to win. Dragic almost took a Bledsoe-less PHX team to the playoffs last year despite looking like a bottom five NBA team.

I want a team of leaders - Smart and Dragic would be a great start. Sully has potential. Heck, I would kill for Cousins. Big personalities who perform put up stats across the board and will will their team to wins. Then again, I was a huge supporter of Antoine and Rondo.

Dragic would have made sense when we had Jeff Green, but now with this current line up it doesn't make as much sense since he's about to be 29. If DA can't get an other player here, Dragic will most likely be gone since he probably wants to play for a legit contender for the last good bit of his career.

If your going after a guy in hid late 20's, you better have one or two more lined up as well, or it's a waste of a move. I do get we get rid of Bradley's contract, but it would have to also depend on that pick and would have to be protected to a point just in case Dragic bolts.

There is ZERO chance the Suns take Bradley, he's a good player but they have no need for guards that is why they are getting rid of Dragic.

Lopez??? This is crazy talk, a slow injury prone over paid stiff, you have to be kidding me? :-X

For those that say yes we should do this.
1) Phoenix wants size not another guard
2) We give up Bradley and Dragic does not want to sign here
3) We end up with no Bradley or Dragic
4) Sounds a little to dangerous to be giving up a #1 and a player.
5) We are not close enough to contending for this type of move

Cs need to stay away from Dragic, he is going to get paid big money and is 29.

Jeff Clark had an idea:  Utah gets a tPE and late 1st
                                     Suns get Kanter
                                     Celts get Dragic

No real gamble.  We then could use Bradley in a package for a big.

I saw this and like it also. I would not be too quick to give up Bradley though, at least until Dragic is signed long term or we take the chance of giving up a first and not having either Bradley or Dragic

The OP correctly shot down his own deal on AB for Dragic as the Suns are not going to want another guard.

As for Lopez, getting into the playoffs may or may not be Danny's goal, but paying a first and giving up cap for the privilege of a 7th or 8th seed shouldn't be.

I'd rather have Bradley than the cap space.

How about getting in the middle of a Dragic to Houston deal?

Z Dragic, C Capela, T Jones to Boston
T Zeller, G Dragic to Houston
Bass, Terry, 1st rounder (Boston via Clips) to Phoenix

Boston gets prospects at 3 positions for Zeller, Bass' expiring, and a late pick.
Houston gets a center *and* Dragic for 2 guys who haven't played much this year.
Phoenix gets a 1st for Dragic, and a couple of vets incl. a big man.
