I would think given our situation that we'd be a prime candidate to bid for his services, assuming Ainge & co. like him and don't see his recent insubordination as a major red flag.

Celtics could easily trade for him.  Probably wouldn't even have to give up a player.

Let's not be so hasty, it might be good to give up a couple

He's 22 years old, not some declining, ring-chasing vet.  I doubt he's concerned with anything other than cashing in this summer -- with whichever team shows interest.

Why?  He isn't a rim protector, not what we need at all.

Because if we can get him for cheap, then why not?

No thanks...and for two reasons:

Reason #1
"Enes Kanter isn't returning to Utah on the Jazz charter. He's headed to Pennsylvania to hang out with friends."

Sorry guys, but when you have a player who leaves a team in this way, the first thing it indicates is a lack of professionalism followed by a lack of loyalty followed by a lack of interest in being a 'team player'.  Demarcus Cousins is considered a major head-case, but even with all the crap gong on in Sacramento he hasn't demanded a traded and disjoined himself from the team.  This is an indication of a guy who is a total butthead...don't want that here.

Reason #2
As mentioned by the last poster, he doesn't give us what we need..which is rim protection.  We already have Jared Sullinger, Brandon Bass, Kelly Olynyk, Tyler Zeller - four talented bigs who are not rim protectors.  We really don't need another.

+ 1 Leaving the team screams "Diva". The guy plays 27 MPG. He is not buried in the rotation.

Kanter is talented, but unless the price is very low, he adds nothing.
"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

If the Cs can get Kanter cheaply why not see how he fits in for the rest of the season.... If he doesn't work out.... let him go
