He has show major potential in his rookie season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHiMGeOhygE

But istn't used at all by the magic. He is just averaging 13 minutes and about 4 points per game, but I think he could turn out to be a great player.
He is still just 21 years old and a good defender

I think we could offer something like Crowder and a second rounder for him

You know what?  I wanted the Celtics to draft him somehow back in 2012.  I thought he was a tough customer and would have been a good get.

But then I had not really heard much about him since then...buried in the swamps of Orlando, I guess.

But I'm not sure if I would give up on Crowder either.  I like him too.

I like crowder too, but I think Harkless has more upside because of age and athleticism, but I just found out that Crowder for him wouldn't work financially. So maybe Turner for him and Nicholson

Crowder for Harkless would work financially. The C's just have to use the Austin Rivers trade exception to absorb his salary.

However, I like the energy Crowder brings off the bench. I'd like to hold on to him. I would gladly be willing to invest up to any 2 non-Philly second rounders for Harkless.

I think now that Vaughn is out in Orlando, that they will wait before giving up on any young pieces until the next guy comes in. Just because JV didn't apparently see any use of him doesn't mean that the next guy won't.

You want to trade for this:

Lateral move at best, no thanks, highlight films are worthless.  His stats indicate he does not do it every game.

For a low first round pick, like the Grizzlies of conditional 76ers, I would do it. Harkless needs consistency and playing style. Won't be an Allstar, but a good player if given the opportunity

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

If you give him consistent playing time he will become more consistent. I think he can stay on the floor because of his defense.

At 21, I would not mind talking a flyer on him, but he is a miserable outside shooter. I dont know if he would work in Stevens system. Still if you can get him cheep I do remember liking him a lot coming out of St John's.
