Stauskas is an interesting prospect

Yes, it's interesting that Stauskas will be the worst player in the NBA this season with more than 500 court minutes.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Makes zero sense for MIN.

Nor for us. We're giving up a first rounder for a guy that technically, we already have, and could be better.

Pass on this, if he was the Real McCoy why hasn't he shown more?

Exactly and I think young will be better. We need a rim protector mot s SG.

Why would we give up Young for Stauskas? SMH
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Stauskas might be really good. So might 4 on 5 Defense with a cherry picker. James Young does (not might or maybe) have a nice shot. So... I'm not taking anything from Sacramento unless they're Demarcus Cousins.

Celtics say no. Minnesota says no. Kings say yes.

Celtics Receive: Nik Stauskas, Ramon Sessions, Reggie Evans, Timberwolves 2015 Second Rounder (via Denver)

Kings Receive: Thaddeus Young, Gorgui Deng

Timberwolves Receive: Brandon Bass, Ray McCallum, James Young, Celtics 2015 First Rounder (via Mavericks)

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pp88dw7
so you're proposing in essense
C's give up Young, Bass, 1st rounder
FOR
Stauskas, Ramon Sessions, Reggie Evans, 2nd rounder

Let's break that down shall we:
Stauskas - rookie that has not shown to be better than Young this season.  draft position means nothing.  Young's also more athletic.
Sessions - journeyman PG that is not a part of the club's future
Evans - journeyman PF that is not a part of the club's future
Second rounder.

what's the point of this deal again?  swapping prospects at the cost of a 1st round pick with the guy you're bringing in has shown less than the guy we're sending out?  The best players being swapped in this entire deal aren't even coming to the Celtics -- they're going to Minny.

truly pointless deal
