Great for Kings, terrible for Wolves, meh for us. I'd prefer to keep Young over Stauskas, but I'd guess they're close in value.

AT this rate I'd much prefer Young over Stauskas.  Feel he will be a better NBA player.

Seriously, I was freaking out thinking that this trade had actually happened.

And if the Wolves are going to trade Dieng, I would just assume go with him over Stauskas.

Why does giving up a first and a first rounder for a guy who looks like a bust make sense?

Deng is the only guy I would want in the trade.

Young shoots as well as Stauskus, and is longer an more athletic.  He will probably be a better defender and better at getting his shot off than Stauskus.  Its only good for the Kings.

The original title got me scared a little. If we traded for the rookie who pulled out the "white guy" excuse before he had even worn an NBA jersey, I would have been a little sick to my stomach.

Not commenting on whether or not I think this is a good trade, but if Stauskas were given the opportunity to tear up the D-league like young has, instead of playing on arguably the most dysfunctional team in the NBA, a lot of posters would be clamoring for him.

Stauskas will get his chance some day as a mature NBA player, as will young.  Is wont be decided for at least half a decade who has the better NBA career, but I'd be happy with either on the C's.  We've got one, and that's fine.

Interesting isn't always better. Stauskas was some one I would be fine with having on the team, but not if we have to give up Young.

Young has a potential of being just as good of a shooter as Stauskas, bigger, and more athletic, younger and right now on a cheaper contract.

What everyone else said - James Young is a better prospect than Stauskas at this point.

The idea of Sacramento giving us Stauskas is silly. While neither young or Stauskas has shown much there is a reason the Kings drafted him 9 spots ahead of young. As Celtic fans we have seen what happens when teams give up on lotto picks midway through a season. Billups and joe Johnson come to mind. Can't see Sacramento pulling another Thomas Robinson.
