we named our Rottweiler pup in December "Russell".

Not sure how you can get much better than that. Also just named our kitten "Boston".

Next Dog we get will be named "Brady" and next cat will be "Larry" or "Legend"....

you just Gotta have these things lined up...

I have heard that dogs respond better to names with two syllables.  Though I'm not sure if that's a fact or not.

So maybe something like

Tommy
Lucky
Waltah

Yes, as I posted earlier the majority of dog commandments are 1 syllable (sit, stay, walk) so names with 2 syllables help to differentiate from an actual commandment.

Some other possibilities: Lenny (Bias), Sully... I like the suggestion earlier of Hondo too!
