I know he has a reputation for causing trouble. He's been "let go" by two college teams. I heard he's heading to the d-league.

Is he worth a shot if he's still available in the later rounds?

What exactly are the reasons he was tossed by the college teams? Is it kid stuff, or are we talking felonies.

He looks like quite a good rim protector, was leading the nation in blocked shots with over 4 a game. He shows signs of being a decent scorer, he's 7'

Does anyone have additional info?

I believe he got busted for drugs.

I'd take a chance with a second rounder.

How does the D-League work with guys like him who get cut from college. Can they get signed this year to an NBA team, or do they need to declare for the draft first?

Like everyone else, he has to go through the draft first to sign with an NBA team.

If that's the only problem, maybe he's worth giving a shot to. He's young, he'll be cheap, and 7' 270lb. with shot blocking ability is something we really need.

Maybe he'll see the light at the end of the bank account.

Looks liked Robert Upshaw is on the comeback trail

He's got a long long way to go. Even without his issues he was just a very poor man's Drummond, there's a lot he'd need to improve to make it in the league, let alone become something of worth.

It is good to see him turning things around though, I'm constantly surprised by how few of these kids fall of the rails when presented with the stress and money of elite sports.

I remember when folks in here threw fits because the C's didn't draft this guy in the 1st round.

Ended up going undrafted and compleyely out of the league.
