The biggest thing about Christmas is how much he has improved this year over last year. He was one of the top PF/Cs coming out of high school, but was extremely raw when he first got to Cuse. He seems to finally be under control - if he plays with consistent energy in the NBA he could have a solid career.

+1.  Big guys take longer to develop and Christmas is a prime example of a big guy taking a while to develop, but now looks like has put it together

last 2 games

vs Louisville - 29 pts - 8 reb - 4 blocks
vs Pittsburgh - 20 pts - 12 reb - 2 blocks

He has been a consistent , go to guy performer for Syracuse this season.

If we can't get Okafor , Christmas would be a good risk to take with our 2nd 1st.

29 pts, 8 reb, 4 blocks vs Louisville.   I want this guy next season at this rate.

With one of our multiple 2nd round picks, why not?  He could turn out to be a success story.  Getting the next Brandon Bass for a 2nd is pretty good value, especially when you don't have to pay guaranteed money to a 2nd rounder.  Except it looks like from the video he is better in the post than Bass.

Hmmmm. A late-developing shot blocker from Syracuse. What could go wrong?

I hear more hype here in these threads than actual real hype.   CB hype.

I must say, I live in Syracuse and have been to about 10 or so games. He is a BIG 6'9. He looks a lot taller than that, and plays like it. I think he often has good position when playing help D, but the ACC refs seem to be soft. I think Rak would be a good 2nd round pick to try and develop. Only thing I worry about is his lack of jump shot. Can't only rely on a low post game.

With the small-ball lineup that Brad Stevens likes to run, Christmas could be a good fit.  He provides rim protection for the small-ball look.  And again, he would be a 2nd round selection, so not much risk there.

Honestly, I'd be thinking of trading Sullinger plus picks to move up in the draft to get a stud, and then drafting Christmas in the 2nd to be our backup 4/5.

This guy's stock is rising after a 20 pt, 6 rebound performance on day 2 games

has a 7'5 wingspan and 9'2.5 reach.

He hit 3 or 4 js to prove he can make the shot, which will help him for the pros

I hope Danny is considering Christmas with one of our 2nd round picks

I came into this thread wondering the same thing... Anyone know if he is a brother or cousin of Deonte Christmas?

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He can get pushed around a little still. if he can add 10 more pounds of muscle, he will be a good player . At worse a good role player off the bench

this is another guy we can target with the 28 or 33. 7'2 wingspan but with 9'4 reach. Good mobility , quick leaper.
