  • Yup
Lets say they take a page from the Rising Stars idea for the main event.

1) Who gets voted in by fans for starters?
2) Who fills out the roster?
3) Who wins the game?
4) Who would win a best of 7 series if they had time to train together and were all trying in earnest to win the series?
Yup

Yao would get in via the write-in campaign. ;)

Starters (this is done spur of the moment, off the top of my head):

M. Gasol
P. Gasol
Dirk
K. Irving
T. Parker

Reserves:  Duncan, Ibaka, Deng, Horford, Giannis, Vucevic, Gortat, Dieng, Wiggins

I think the US team wins, just because that team is weak in terms of wings.  Of course, there are probably doens of guys I'm forgetting.

USA:
Curry, Harden, Durant, James, Howard

Paul, Westbrook, Thompson, Anthony, Aldridge, Cousins, Davis

World:
Parker, Irving, Nowitzki, P. Gasol, M. Gasol

Dragic, Wiggins, Ginobli, Diaw, Batum, Ibaka, Horford

I think I have the nationalities right, but I'm not sure. The guards were really hard for the World team, so I just put Wiggins/Greek Freak. I'm sure I'm missing somebody.

EDIT: Fixed the guards; I didn't know Irving was an Aussie.

He was born in Australia, but they moved back to the US when he was 2. Don't really know if I'd count him, he has said multiple times he has no intention or interest in playing for Australia when he first came into the league.
