charlotte gets royally hosed.

also, no way I do anything to help the Nets get out of their financial mess and jeopardize the quality of those upcoming picks

Can tell this was done by a Celts fan.  We get rid of an untradeable contract in Wallace and pick up 2 pretty decent, cheaper players (including Vonleh with huge upside).  Denver's GM would be fired on the spot..

You've got Denver involved here in order to make some stuff work, but what they're really doing is giving up Chandler in order to turn McGee into Lopez, which I don't understand. Chandler is a real asset, and I don't see much reason for them to prefer Lopez at 15 for two years over McGee at 11 or two years.

I don't think we should help any team besides ourselves.

By the way- Brooklyn may not be as desperate as you think to move those three contracts. Sure, they are fishing, but this is a lost season for them. They are fishing precisely because someone might be needy enough to give them something actually good.

When the cap goes up, free agents start demanding more, and more teams have some space to fit these contracts, we might actually see the trade value on the Lopez, Johnson, and Williams contracts go back into the black. In the meantime, the Nets mostly need to sit tight and try to get those guys healthy.

We own future picks by the Nets, I hope we help make them worse, not better.
