27 points...boy can he shoot. Zero hesitation and perfect form. I wonder if we've got something here.

Played 42 minutes on Friday night and only had 9 points and 5 turnovers. Not saying the kid doesn't have talent just saying it's going to take more then one good performance for him to get serious consideration that's all.

A future 3 pt specialist. Maybe a Marcus Thornton replacement if he gets traded.  I'm reading Dawkins needs to work on his defense. Lateral quickness/anticipation is not at NBA level yet

The shot at :59 was impressive. He starts taking a moment to gather himself, realizes his team mate is going to be looking for a bail out, assesses the range, corrals a low pass, and calmly knocks down a deep contested 3.

It takes Dawkins less than a second to enter his shooting form and because of that he was able to start the shooting motion before even receiving the ball, by the time the defender reaches him for a closeout the ball had already flown uncontested.

Thanks for the updates everyone. It is fun to see whether Dawkins will be able to contribute to the celtics or not.

Dawkins does it again!  27 points!  6 out of 11 from three!!  No doubt he can shoot!

Hope we keep him for the rest of the year.

I'd much rather have Roscoe Smith and Jabari Brown.

Ouch.

Dawkins may turn out to be nothing more than Fab, but he has been a monster in D-League; Fab had one good game...like ever.

dawkins can shoot 3 pointers, no doubt. and that skill probably does transfer from dleague to the nba. the real question is whether he does anything else good enough to stay on the court in the nba.

i hope he becomes good enough to contribute to the celtics.

this is his 2nd back to back 27pt game .Hit 6-11 three's.His first game after extended time off a trade and new team was below his avg ,seems he's back on track and under pressure to perform.Well done Dawkins.

First half 4-6 three's  and 0-1 off dribble  but two glaring defensive lapses ,got back doored twice. You can tell he's being watched, he is  forced when he gets ball  to take some very deep three's but makes them, otherwise he seems very passive.he can shoot shoot shoot.

After watching marcus and avery, this kid plays defense like night of living dead.
I saw,  i think 2 rebounds a steal and 1 turnover,2 backdoors for baskets but all other defensive lapse were like waves on missed shots or not getting over screen quick enough,Also put up some airballs rushing shots but came right back,If he is at red claws to work on d he is in wrong place,i wonder how he looked at celts practice.Knows how to draw fouls on three's.

Thanks for the updates and insights Rollie. Tp for sure.

It sounds as if he is a role player from sure.  Bring him off the bench for instant offense. Sit him on the bench before his shortcomings show.
