Andre Dawkins had 24 tonite with 7-14 on 3's! Seven assists too!

Also, have you guys heard of Sim Bhullar? Reno Bighorns!  7'5" 360 lbs! Pretty mobile for a dude that big.  Thought he was gonna be complete clod, but was blocking shots, got off his feet fairly well, and showed a decent 15 ft jumper(if you could call it jumping) but got nothing but net on the shot on saw in some of his highlights!  With some conditioning he might be interesting, as he was sure altering some shots!

Hey, let's face it, none of the past NBA "giants"(7'5"or taller) has been exactly light on their feet--will the exception of YMing, who was about the best--and also only player that tall to play in an all star game. Muresan and Bol are probably the most recognizable and both played for several years, with very limited capabilities--except for shot blocking, and that's why I wouldn't mind seeing Bhullar get a chance with us!  He's also a decent free throw shooter at about 70%.
In this semi tanking season, I don't see any harm in giving it a shot! Really! 360lbs, and that tall! Kind of a mini Andre the Giant with some bb skills!

If Dawkins was that legit, he'd be on a roster. Yeah, he put up huge numbers in a D-league game against undersized Euro players.  Not too long ago, Fab Melo did the same. And my drunken uncle beat him in a game of horse

yes, clearly and without doubt most dleague players are nba scrubs or not even fit for the nba. but sometimes decent players do emerge from there. i like the idea of ainge having a roster spot open so he can give 10-day try outs to dleaguers.

some success stories from the dleague include (and here "success" = credible nba bench players):

- jeremy lin
- rafer alston
- chuck hayes
- chris anderson
- mikki moore
- danny green
- whiteside?? (maybe, but lets see him play for a while before deciding.)

no stars, but decent bench players can be found on occasion. will dawkins join this group? doubtful, but let's wait and see whether he finds a niche as a 3 point specialist off the bench.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
