in the history of the Celtics. Why are we winning on the road against elite Western Conference teams?

Do we want to stay in the basement of the NBA for years to come. Even the Lakers are Tanking.

What is wrong with the people running the Celtics?

Why are we winning games we ought to lose?

Don't kill yourselves tankers, you'll always have Philly.

We are not tanking. The Knicks and the Sixers are tanking. Only a blind person can't see the difference between them and us. We are just a bad team. We can win a few games, but we are still a bad team with some good prospects. They are getting better.

Give up, wishful thinkers. We are not getting Okafor or Towns. No team will trade a top 3 pick with us (if we get a top 3 pick would you accept to trade down with another team?). We're taking the sixth or seventh pick. And that's ok. Stephen Curry was a seventh pick. Klay Thompson was an eleventh pick. We can draft good players and develop them.

Deal with it. This is a long rebuild.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

We didn't beat 2 elite teams. Blazers have lost 5 of 6 and Nuggets have lost 5 in a row. Portland may be elite when healthy, but they're not. Nuggets suck and have a worse point differential than we do.

Watch us have the 8th, 9th, 10th etc. best record and finally get a top 3 pick.

Celtics suck. NEVER WIN GAMES. We have no real tallent to develop save smart and young. And we have absoloutly no chance if we were to enter the playoffs.

The best thing to do is tank. Aim for a top pick. Indiana and orlando are falling and in a few days we went from 4th worst to 7/8th. >_>

Trade bass, Thornton and all People who play to win. Philly is gonna be laughing in a few years. Boston is not a FA loved city, so we have NO choice BUT the draft.

Stupid celtics. Our own picks are useless if they are not top picks. Trade it for talent. >_>

Because the Blazers and the Nuggets were both missing their best player.

Sometimes I can guess who started a thread by reading the title.  This was one of those times.

Two one point wins, for nothing as we drop down the draft standings.

Look, kid. Who do you want here? Stephen Curry? SIXTH pick. Klay Thompson? ELEVENTH pick. Grow up.

Mostly just showcase games for Bass (and probably Crowder and Prince)  We'll end up buying out Bass and Prince after the deadline if we can't squeeze a 2nd rounder out of them.  Might hang onto Crowder if we can't flip him for a pick.  Those guys are all solid role players.  We stand a chance at winning more games if we feed minutes to our solid role players, but it does little to help us long-term... so expect that to come to an end in a few weeks.

These are good games for Bass' trade value.   Post-deadline we'll probably start pumping a lot more minutes into guys like James Young.  The franchise will pivot from showcasing vets to developing youth.

Celticsblog meltdown. ;D I honestly thought this was going to be a sarcastic joke thread when I clicked on it. Nope. Totally sincere. They won 2 games in a row. This is not a big deal. I'm gonna go read up more on the Tanking/Abortion debate thread now.
