For Kings to trade Cousins you have to make it a "Godfather" offer they cannot refuse and the Celts have the assets to well overpay and still be fine.  If they do trade Cousins they will look to rebuild and shed the salary of Rudy Gay as well.  We may not want him but I think that is key to deal and we need a starting SF now that Green is gone.

Celts give their two 2015 first round picks and one of their second round picks, their 2016 first round pick (keep the pick from BKN), and a second round pick, and their 2017 first round pick.  This is total of 4 unprotected first round picks and three 2nd round picks PLUS to add trade value give them Bradley, Crowder (to replace Gay), and free up their cap space and match salaries expiring contracts of Prince, Thornton, and Bass.  Finally the only pill they would swallow was to get salaries to match is they take Wallace.

Then Celts would go pick-up a premier PG such as Reggie Jackson.

Celts Line-up
Guards - Jackson/Turner/Smart
Wings - Gay/Young
PF - Sullinger/Olynyk
C - Cousins/Zeller

Starting Line-up
PG - Jackson
SG - Smart
SF - Gay
PF - Sullinger
C - Cousins

You would need to restructure your deal to occur during the offseason as Gay can't be traded for the rest of this season as the 6-month trade restriction in force due to his extension runs past the trade deadline.

So Prince, Thornton, and Bass are no longer available to be traded and you would need to have Crowder agree to a sign and trade

There is no doubt that Cousins is putting up numbers but I am not sure that he is the player we should go "all-in" on or if this is the right time to make an all-in deal.

It we could get him for a good value, sure but it seems unlikely anybody gets him from Sac for anything less than an overpay.

If we trade all our assets for Cousins or any other single player, that is it, we will have shot our load and if it goes bad, we will be in a deep hole.
