Oops, I posted a similar thread right after yours.

Could one of the mods combine the two threads? Thanks.

The Kings are reportedly looking for a frontcourt player to pair with DeMarcus Cousins and are said to be willing to include first-round draft pick Nik Stauskas to help facilitate a deal.
The Kings would like either a stretch-four or above-the-rim defender to pair with Cousins, and with Ben McLemore taking a big step this year, Nik Stauskas has struggled to step into the rotation. The Kings are reportedly also willing to include Derrick Williams and Reggie Evans in the deal, and we'll be monitoring this situation closely.

Too bad Bass doesn't quite fit what they are looking for.

But I am sure that Ainge will try to get involved if he wants to.

Bass is a stretch 4.

Bass is a stretch 4.

I've always considered a stretch 4 to have range out to the three.

There are stretchier 4s out there for SAC.

Stretch 4= 3pt range.
A midrange jump shot stretches the floor just fine.

If just one GM shared your opinion, you'd have to think Bass would've been moved by now with all of the value placed on stretch 4's in the current NBA.

In the other thread I said KO for Stauskas, though there would be some defensive concerns with a KO/Boogie frontcourt.

Agreed. On CsBlog Bass is a Stretch 4. In the real world he's a tweener energy guy with an above average midrange jumper and some defensive chops.

I guess that means you believe Kevin Garnett only has an "above average" midrange jumper? Because Bass is slightly better than Garnett from 10 feet out for his career.

A big who can hit jumpers from 16+ feet at a ~46% is a stretch big alright. The reason why Bass isn't all that hot of a commodity is because he can't rebound, and his size makes him a defensive liability against bigger PFs.
