I like Nate. That 2010 team was one of my favorites. Lots of characters on that squad.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Yeah it had to be a buyout. I don't think it's legal to have Thorton and Robinson on the same team.

Nelson had a player option next year.  We didn't want his money eating into our cap space.

Again, this is the same reason why I keep saying you shouldn't get too attached to Jae Crowder.  The main priority right now is maximizing our cap flexibility this summer... not locking up role players.

I'm glad that this will free up some money next season by eliminating the possibility of Nelson opting in with Boston. And if Robinson wants a buyout, fine. Let's keep clearing the flotsam.

Oh, get attached.  He isn't going anywhere.  Ainge will retain him.  Easy decision.  He doesn't simply view him as a 'role' player like you do.

Wow. I can't believe Denver agreed to this.

He'll come cheap and his value can only go but up.

I don't like the fact that you are right about this, because I'm starting to like Jae Crowder, but this is definitely true.

Hopefully he gets a full look the rest of the year and then is good enough to be signed to a 4 - 5 year deal at relatively low $$$/year.
